so yes, if the character doesn't associate as male or female, or it isn't made clear, if it seems more suitable the character can be considered agender.

You are either a guy or girl, end of story. You can't be both and you can't be neither.

I don't even watch the show, I just thought it would be appropriate to remind you that being agender is an actual thing. Your denial of that shows just how close minded you are. Transgender, agender, bigender are all actual acceptable gender associations. Please be considerate.

Denial? I watched the show, and i know why i don't like it and half the characters. Hideyoshi is a boy, and he tells everyone that all the time. They are just morons who won't listen to him, acting like he isn't even a boy. Being complete insulting acting like he doesn't have a gender, when clearly he does. Because again no. You are either a boy or girl, you can't be neither and you can't be both. You are what you are born.

If he associates as male, then yes, they are fools for not listening to him.

However, you show clear denial over the fact that in real life, gender is not black and white. From an anatomical standpoint it may seem so, but from a humanistic perspective, it is anything but.
Transgender- born as one sex, but associates with the other. EG- A biological female associating as male.
Bigender- born as one sex, but associates as both.
Agender- born as one sex, but associates with neither- not letting sex define them at all.

The key thing here is I think you're getting sex and gender confused. They're similar but different.
Sex refers to biological differences; chromosomes, hormonal profiles, internal and external sex organs (male or female), wheras gender describes the characteristics that a society or culture believes are masculine or feminine.

I never had problems thinking of Hideyoshi as a guy, he does look kinda like a girl, but I saw WAAAY worse cases in some other anime.
