“Now how'd 당신 snag that?” Willow asked, looking at her sister.
Willow had gone to her room after arriving several hours before but had heard the others go out 분 ago. Becca was sitting on the couch, a bowl of 초콜릿 ice cream in her hands.
“Robin,” Becca said simply, patting the 좌석 다음 to her.
Willow shook her head.
“I need to eat something.”
“There's ice cream in the freezer,” Becca called.
Willow opened it, looking through the appliance.
“I don't see it,” Willow called back.
“Really?”
Becca came over, looking over her sister's shoulder.
“Hmm. Don't worry. I'll be back.”
Becca disappeared and Willow sat on the counter. She saw an ice cream tub in the trash, smiling. She knew Robin was smart. She just never knew he was smart enough to give his girlfriend sugar-free ice cream. Willow grinned, looking when Becca came back into the room.
“Found it!”
“Found what?”
“The tube of 레몬 gelato!”
Becca proudly produced the tub of Italian ice cream to her sister before heading back to the sofa. Willow served herself and placed the tub in the freezer before joining Becca. Becca put her legs over Willow's, facing her sister.
“We never get to do stuff anymore.”
“What are 당신 talking about?” Willow asked, eating her snack.
“We're always working. When we aren't, something depressing happens. It's always been this way. Ever since we were kids. But...I want a 일 where we can just be normal. Haven't 당신 ever wanted to see what normal people do?”
“No. Not really.”
Becca sighed, flicking Willow's nose. Willow stuck her tongue out and Becca smiled. They went back to their treats. Silence filled the mountain for awhile.
“So...if 당신 could do anything, you'd want to be normal?” Willow asked.
“If I could do anything? No. If I could do anything, I'd see my mom again. But other than that, I'd like to see how normal people are. Just for a single day.”
“You must miss her.”
“Mhmm. I only remember being three when I left. But I remember that 일 so well. Kendra was always beautiful.”
“I'm sorry 당신 can't see her.”
“It's okay. At least I know...she's alive.”
Willow stayed silent, allowing her sister to calm down. She looked at Becca know, noticing not for the first time how different they were. Becca was an ebony haired beauty with a personality to match the firey passion in her heart. Willow knew she was stared at, with her brown hair and her warm personality. But there was something about Becca that drew 당신 in. She knew better than anyone it was Becca's lack of trust for humans.
Despite the differences, the two were sisters. Made of the same flesh and bone. The same magic ran through their veins. But their situations were different. Becca had had many families while Willow had never known hers. She never doubted that she and Becca were sisters. She just wondered how they could be born separately but still be sisters.
“Is it wrong to think fear makes 당신 beautiful?” Becca suddenly asked, breaking into Willow's thoughts.
“Huh?”
“I was just thinking about Kendra. The night Anton killed my family, she looked so beautiful, despite the fear she showed. Is it wrong to think that? 또는 is it just...natural?”
Becca looked at Willow, curiosity written on her face.
“I...uh...I have no idea,” Willow answered.
“It's okay. It was stupid anyways. I'm going to get started on your dress. See 당신 later.”
Becca got up, moving past her sister. Willow sat silently until Becca reached the doorway.
“You know, fear can beautiful. It's just what make you...you.”
Willow looked over at her sister. Becca stood still, thinking. A smile grew on her face and her eyes turned amber.
“Thanks Willow. For the record, guys look at 당신 way 더 많이 than me.”
Willow looked back at Becca, but she was gone. Willow smiled, shaking her head.
“She needs to stay out of people's heads,” Willow muttered.
As if answering, a laugh echoed down the halls, causing Willow to smile wider.
