I opened my eyes to find myself in the bio ship.
“How-?” I started
“You fell asleep when 당신 were driving. Luckily, M’gann saw the car and telekinetically got it out of the way before 당신 crashed” Kalder explained
“Wait. What time is it?” I asked
“It is…1:45 in the morning” Robin said
“Then…MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!” I exclaimed. Everyone smiled.
“Wait. It’s probably too late for anyone to go home, so why don’t 당신 guys just sleep over? We have enough extra rooms for everyone to get their own!” Megan suggested. As we flew back, everyone picked room assignments. Robin would be sleeping two doors down from me, Wally is one down from me, Artemis is on my left, Kalder is across the hall from Wally and Connor, Megan and I get our normal rooms.
‘Alex? Alex, can 당신 hear me?’ Wally asked in my head
‘Yeah, I can hear you’ I sighed, knowing what he was going to say.
‘Alex. I need to know if 당신 feel the way about me that I do about you’ he persisted
‘Wally, you’re like a brother to me. I don’t want to mess that up’ I told him
‘I know. But maybe, I don’t need to be like family. Maybe I can be more. Maybe we can be more’ Wally pleaded
“Wally, I don’t know. You’re asking a girl who repelled boys all her life and just 로스트 the last of her blood family to choose. I choose-‘ I cut myself off when my head started pounding. I put my head in my hands and tried to squeeze the pounding out. It just made it worse. And suddenly, I wasn’t there. I was staring at a half woven picture of a lady with wings. I looked at it carefully and a handful of strings broke from it. I could tell they were the team’s strings because they all had special characteristics. But what I really noticed is that a couple of them were woven tighter than others. For example, Artemis and Wally’s strings were woven tightly, were as mine and his were woven a bit 더 많이 loosely. Now I understood. I shook my head and I returned to the bio ship.
‘Wally. Our destinies are intertwined, but not as tightly as yours and someone else’s.’ I said to him
‘Oh. This is awkward considering the whole team heard that’ Wally murmured
‘I am sorry, but I have seen the strings of our destinies, and ours are 더 많이 loosely intertwined.’ I apologized
“Alex, how do 당신 know this?” Kalder asked aloud
“Because. I just saw our destinies” I said quietly
“How?” Megan asked
“I don’t know. It just happen- “I broke off as an image of a plane coming out of the clouds entered my head “Megan, turn left, NOW!” She turned right before a plane came out of the clouds. No one said a word.
