So annoying. Especially since they usually swear off the pairing that I'm rooting for to get together. They shouldn't just rule a pairing out for good.

So annoying especially with the shows that swear they won't have any pairings or if they do it can't be made a big scene, the Law & Orders are the worst at this.

I'm kind of in the middle, where I think that if the chemistry just isn't there between any of the characters, then nothing should be forced, but if there are two characters that have a lot of chemistry and a potentially very compelling story to tell, it should be given an chance, and I don't think that writers, from the get-go, should insist that they're never getting any characters together ever, because sometimes this kind of thing doesn't make itself apparent until several seasons in. I just think writers shouldn't be boxing themselves into corners and ruling out storylines that could have a lot of potential just to prove a point.

^ I kind of agree with that, but at the same time romance just doesn't fit into every show and I think it can actually detract from the main point of the show. Law & Order and Criminal Minds are both shows I think should focus on the criminal cases rather than romantic involvements between the characters. I know it's frustrating when you think two characters would be great together, and that's why I don't think it's fair for the writers to tease people with little scenes that build up hope for that ship if they have no intention of making them a couple.

I think it depends on the show and the couple
