His best season was 5 IMO. He really came into his own, became a true hero and an adult. I found him extremely annoying in season 1.

I agree to a certain extent. In season 1, there werent really any moments when i was like, 'Ah Sam! Why!' like in other seasons. But i do agree that season 5 is a close second for being Sam's best season!
