Hell NO!!!! Just like it says. Sam has every right to live his own life, and no one has any right to take that away from him.

I understand that John wanted to protect him but he still should have tried to understand Sam rather than toss him out.

I'm stuck! Okay this is how I feel about this.

I believe John was hurt that Sam wanted to leave, he wasn't ready to let go of his children. Every parent goes through this, even the jerky ones. He didn't want his youngest son far away from him where he couldn't protect him. I'm sure he was angry and said somethings he obviously shouldn't have which made their relationship difficult. But Sam should have realized that his Dad was just worried and not be such a hot head. I mean seriously if they could have discussed it like human beings I am sure they never would have left each other with all that anger. No wonder where Sam gets his anger issues.
