Eleven years later Ravage and Typhon are both fourteen and in the eighth grade. When the both of them get 집 Aldinach and Night are in the kitchen. Ravage goes into the living room and sits on the 침상, 소파 to do history homework while Typhon goes into the kitchen.
    ''Hey mom?''
    ''Yeah Typhon?''
    ''I was wondering if over the weekend I could invite a friend 또는 two over.''
    Night stops what she's doing and sighs then looks over to Aldinach. ''Think we should tell them now?'' Aldinach nods at Night. ''Ravage come in here.''
    Typhon looks a bit confused and worried. ''Tells us what?''
    Ravage walks into the kitchen. ''What is it?''
    ''You may want to sit down this may take a bit to explain,'' Aldinach says. The two sit down at the table. ''Now, we can't let the two of 당신 bringing 프렌즈 over, and we have a very good reasoning on why.''
    ''Why can't we then? Have 당신 been hiding something from us?'' Ravage says.
    ''The reason why 당신 can't is because of who we are,'' Night explains.
    ''What do 당신 mean?'' Typhon is still very confused along with her brother.
    Aldinach sighs. ''The thing is me and 또는 mother are both killers. We have both killed many people,'' they both are really shocked.
    ''That is also why we live away from the city. Cops have been looking for us for years. We regret what we've done but its just who we are.''
    ''I kinda understand mom killing because she's a vampire but dad?'' Ravage says.
    ''Your a vampire also, but the only reason why I've done it is because everyone automatically though that I was evil just because I was a demon but at the time I wasn't. Eventually the army kicked me out and people would just get me so mad that eventually I just snapped.''
    ''I hope that won't happen to me, I don't want it to,'' Typhon says scared and wraps her tail around her waist.
    ''Would anything happen to me?'' Ravage asks slightly scared to hear what the answer would be.
    ''Unless if 당신 can find a different way to get 음식 then you'd be stuck as a killer,'' Night says. Ravage seems to shrink up a bit. ''There is nothing good about being a vampire, your just lucky your a day-walker.''
    ''So does this mean that we're going to end up like 당신 two some day? Killers? Always on the run?'' Typhon asks.
    ''Not exactly. 당신 two can do what ever 당신 want with your lives, your life right now is a lot better then ours. If 당신 can do anything, anything at all to make sure it stays good, I say go for it,'' Aldinach includes. Ravage and Typhon don't seem very happy anymore.
    ''If 당신 want to hang out with your 프렌즈 당신 can just not here.''
    ''What if their like us? 또는 something similar?'' Ravage asks.
    ''We would have to meet their parents first just to be sure. We don't want anything to happen and sure 당신 don't want to either, so don't go around school saying anything about this, if the wrong person hears then it would end up horrible for all of us,'' Night says. The kids nod their head. ''You can go now,'' they get up and leave the kitchen.
    ''That went better then I expected, but what I'm worried about is should we haven't gotten this sociable?''
    ''That's what I'm wondering also. When should we start helping them with powers and stuff. You'll have to teach Typhon to fly.''
    ''And You'll have to teach Ravage weird vampire stuff,'' Night rolls her eyes smiling. ''Every vampire seems do something different then the rest to me.''
    ''And demons don't,'' she chuckles. Aldinach takes some grapes out of the fridge and starts eating them. Night sighs turns around and starts walking out of the kitchen.
    ''What?'' she keeps walking and throws the 칼, 나이프 in her hand at him and leaves the kitchen. He catches the 칼, 나이프 의해 the blade and it cuts him.

    Typhon and Ravage go upstairs. They both go in Typhon's room. ''Something tells me that mom and dad are keeping something from us,'' Typhon says shutting her door.
    ''I keep getting the same feeling,'' he sets his book bag beside her 침대 and sits on it. ''But what would it be? Doesn't mom have a brother?''
    ''Yeah. They haven't talked in years though, remember? He probably doesn't even know we exist.''
    ''Oh yeah. What about Ripper?''
    ''He knows what and what not to tell us,'' she sits on her chair 다음 to her 책상, 데스크 and the two of them think. ''Maybe they did tell us everything.''
    '''Its just that everything seems too weird to be true. Like its all fake 또는 something,'' he lies back on her bed.
    ''If your going to be on my 침대 at least pull your pants up,'' sounds disgusted. Ravage flips her off. ''Seriously, I don't even know why 당신 또는 anyone else does that,'' turns around in her chair.
    ''I don't see how 당신 can't.''
    Shakes her head. ''Come on we have to figure out what mom and dad aren't telling us,'' faces him again.
    ''Maybe their not hiding anything. Why else would we live all the way out here. That may also explain that one guy, um whats his name, um, Garsha! Yeah Garsha.,'' Typhon dazes off thinking. ''Come on Ty, just forget about it and help me Study for my history test,'' he grabs his book bag and takes out his history book.
    She picks up a small 베개 on the floor beside her and throws it at his face. ''I told 당신 to never call me Ty,'' she takes his book at opens it to chapter twelve.
