Taemin recalls his first impression of Girls\' Generation\'s YoonA

Taemin appeared on the August 21 edition of SBS radio program \'Cultwo Show\' with SM label mate Red Velvet and talked about Girls\' Generation\'s YoonA.

Red Velvet\'s Seulgi said, "My training period was seven years.  I am currently 21 years old."  The DJs said, "You debuted after waiting a long time.  Is there a celebrity you really wanted to see?"

Jung Chan Woo and said, "I really wanted to try coming out on \'Cultwo Show,\'" but neither Jung Chan Woo nor Sung Si Kyung believed her.

Taemin was asked a similar question: "Were you ever surprised when you saw a celebrity in person?"  He replied, "For me, it was when I first auditioned at the agency.  I went through the audition, then I saw Girls\' Generation\'s YoonA, and thought to myself that truly not just anyone can be a celebrity.  I thought I wasn\'t going to make it, but I think I was lucky."

Jessica, Hyoyeon, Seulgi.. I think these three are SM artists who spent a long time as trainee before debut.. is there any other SM artist who spent longer than them?

i think that yunho spent the most time . but from what i know gd and boa were the youngest to enter sm

@montrealvip I\'m talking about training time.. Yunho became Sm\'s trainee in 2000, and debuted in 2003.. he only spent 3 years as trainee... Hyoyeon said most TVXQ members are her hoobae.. (Hyoyeon got in to SM later than Jessica). And I think GD didn\'t spent a long time in SM..

Wait he was only 9 years old when he joined SM :O :O That means he joined SM in 2002. Trained for 7 years. Debuted at 2009 at 16. Wooooowww! He has achieved more things than I can achieve in my lifetime!! Impressive!

I keep forgetting Shinee debuted in 2008. That means Taemin was only 15.. Oooowaaaaaaoooww!!

I think u mistaken... the one who spent 7 years in trainee is Seulgi, not Taemin../// If taemin spent 7 years as trainee, it means he joined SM in 2001, in 2001 Yoona hasn\'t joined SM yet.. /// later he was asked how is his impression to see celebrity in real, then he said he saw SNSD Yoona when he got in the audition.. it means, he just joined SM after SNSD debuted.. So I guess he spent only 1 year as trainee..

@otoy86 no he joined SM at 2005 so that was before SNSD debut he saw her as trainee

@yoonaddict-lover yup, I think u\'re right.. and think I\'ve seen his picture before in old forum wich talking about SM trainees (mainly talking about New SM\'s Girl Group (SNSD)) which was posted around 2006..

That\'s true, not everyone can be a celebrity, but you became one and you more than deserve it :) 

Aww taemin haha well he worked so hard to get where he is right now like if u compare shinee perf from debut to now they always give their best energy on stage no matter how tire they are! That\'s why I love them!!! And he\'s an amazing dancer it would have been a waste if SM didn\'t debut him!
