The murder of Dumbledore was a very important and emotional scene as it introduces the final instalment. But it lacked screen time. It had begun well with Draco's inner struggle when he realizes he's no murder (very good actor indeed).
But things got out of hand and went too fast after, especially when Severus cast the Avada Kedavra on his friend Albus. All his suffering, his soul tormented when doing so, was shown very briefly - fortunately we got a glimpse of it thanks to Alan Rickman's perfect play (that saves the day), which would have deserved a longer screen time at that moment. I'm sure that Severus may have hesitated in his mind - we're talking about a man killing his only friend, even if that's a mercy killing - even if he did not flinch in his resolve eventually, how costly that was to him. Another burden added to his soul and this would have been worth seeing. His murdering Dumbledore is very tragic hero like, and it foretells his own gruesome death.
A friend of mine had seen the movie already and read the books too and she had told me the same that she had been disappointed by the lack of intensity in crucial moments such as those described above. I'm one to make my own judgement but all in all, I see what she meant then.
Otherwise, the whole theater laughed a great deal in the first half of the movie, with all the good jokes and comedy made then.
