My feeling is that the true reason behind Private's taxideaophobia is either at one extreme or the other. That is, it's either because of something relatively minor (which is the one I'm picking) or it is because of something severe and entirely legitimate (like having almost been eaten by a badger). Since Private retired from the mini golf circuit after having merely ruined a young possum's ice cream cone, his fear of badgers may very well be because of something just as trivial.
We will soon see. I do hope that the reason for Private's fear will be mentioned on the episode as opposed to just getting straight into trying to cure it; you can't really address a problem until you know and address its cause. Also, for the record, "taxideaophobia" isn't a real condition (so far as I know) -- I just made it up from the scientific name of the American badger (Taxidea taxus).
@SJF_Penguin2, in theory, you're right. But they've already played that card only two episodes ago. they're not in a hurry to do it again.
