It's real name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But we're known as Mormons. :)

I don't think Mormons are considered Christians, certain doctrines, foundations, and theologies are very perpendicular

Lutheran, but I don't see why there has to be Denominations. I mean really, come on! Why can't we all just be CHRISTIAN, not Baptist or Angelic, or this and that, blahblahblah.

@tiagih what doctrines? We believe Christ is our Savior and we will be reunited in heaven with God someday, is that not the very definition of a Christian?

@ honestly only a few things but there are important
1.The Church of Latter Day Saints thinks God is a real as man, when he is a spirit. God is a spirit that can't be created and uncreated
2. Mary was a virgin when she was pregnant with Jesus, she didn't have sex with anyone or anything to have Jesus, it was the holy spirit that fell upon her womb
3. The concept of the trinity is different when they believe that God is many gods. God, the father God, the son, and God, the Holy spirit are all part of the God head they are not separate gods

Christ died for all of us, not a branch of Christianity in particular. We're all God's children.

@tiagih
1. We do believe God has a physical body. But that doesn't mean he didn't create the earth! We know he is the ruler of the universe, so how does believing that he has a body make us non-Christian?
2. I don't know where you heard that, but it's false. We believe Mary was a VIRGIN before giving birth to Jesus, so whoever told you that doesn't know what they're talking about.
3. We don't believe in the trinity, but we don't believe they are 3 Gods either. We believe in the "Godhead," which is where God is the Father, Jesus is the Son, and the Holy Spirit is the third member, but without a body. It's really hard to explain, why don't you read this link, it'll help explain better.

1. Its not in the bible I guess, God may come to earth in the physical and we don't know he is there but his original design is purely spirit

Mormons are taught that God is this great being that had a wife and made several offspring, the most famous/infamous of them is Jesus/Lucifer. That all mankind are descendants of one of "offspring" and if we do good he will take up with him to "paradise". All of which are not in the bible, there is no wife of God in the bible, God gave is ONLY begotten son, and Jesus and Satan are not brothers

3.The trinity is a KEY concept and fundamental in Christian teachings. God is the father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are not really their own separate god their all the same "God" one just has a different role in the mix

2. Mormons don't believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit so I assumed they believed someone did something with Mary

I'm Catholic and Unitarian. I used to be Catholic and was considering converting to Islam but I decided that Christianity was the only way but I still didn't like to be confined to a title, I am sooooo happy being Unitarian now as well because there is no set rules for your Christian path, it's yours and yours alone and I love that :) But I do still keep certain Catholic things close to me like the importance of the Virgin Mary and the saints! :)

@tiagih The reason a lot of the stuff we believe isn't in the Bible is because we also believe in The Book of Mormon. If you don't believe we're Christians, whatever, go ahead. I really don't like arguing with people anyway.

My mum's a catholic but we(her family and i) believe in some of the protestant teachings too. They used to focus on Mother Mary just as mcuh as Lord Jesus but now hey've cut down. They've started focusing on more on Lord Jesus.

But Dada, catholics believe in the holy trinity too. So does'nt that make them christians too since that's the key point of christianity? They do things a little differently but they believe in the same god as christians.

um I am personally not a TRUE Methodist, I just go to a methodist church and got baptized in one. Methodist are more about the "structure" of things in a church, everything is time management, not much emphasis on anything in particular. We don't pray to anyone but God through Jesus and we don't much hierarchy except respect for the pastor

Dada, you are wrong. Catholics do not remove anything from the Bible. If you notice any differences between Catholicism and any other type of Christianity, that means that the other type changed it, not Catholics. Catholicism was the first type of Christianity.

From my understanding & true belief, you are only to pray to JESUS, WHO IS THE INTERCESSOR to GOD THE FATHER. We aren't to pray to the saints or to Mary. Even if she is the human mother of JESUS, and was pure/virgin, she was still human, like you and me. She wasn't sinless, since she was human like us. ONLY ONE PERSON WHO WALKED this earth IS SINLESS, but took on our infirmities, AND THAT IS JESUS CHRIST. I don't recall anywhere in The BIble that says you are supposed to pray to Mary or the saints. THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE ONE. GOD WITH US. EMANUEL.

I'm an Anglican myself soon to marry a Catholic so it's quite complicated. Of course, we are ALL Christians,we all believe in God & Jesus & the angels, but some differences DO exist.I wish that ecumenism would to bring us closer once again as Christians.
