yah, sadly. long feng killed him with his earthbending. he told the gang (sokka, toph, aang and katara) to leave him to find appa. here's the script;
Everyone walks in the room. Katara tries to heal him, "This isn't good." Jet looks at Katara fondly. "Go, I'll be okay." *he smiles weakly* Just as they're leaving, Toph whispers to Sokka, "he's lying...." smeller-bee starts crying while long-shot aims to shoot something in the distance.
and he was never seen 또는 heard from again in the series. that sounds dead.
It was annouced 의해 mike and bryan at comicon that he was dead :(

Jet's guts burst open inside him but it would be too hard to animate and it would be sorta graphic too, so they just said he had 'internal injuries' but we all know what that means.
"you know, it was really unclear" lol. poor jett. He was awesome. i used to hate him but now hes my fave side character. too bad hes not in the movies.
