ShadowPaw stalked through the forest as a warm spring breeze ruffled her jet black fur.
Spotting a 쥐, 마우스 a few paw steps away, she dropped into a crouch.
Closer and closer she came, until she was almost within pouncing distance.
The 쥐, 마우스 seemed to since her presence and quickly vanished under a bush.
“ShadowPaw!” she looked up to see a young calico she-cat racing towards her.

Two days later:

ShadowPaw crept forward, belly 모피 slightly brushing the ground.
She pounced, her claws sinking into her pray.
Carrying the limp 쥐, 마우스 in her jaws, she padded back to NightHawk.
“Great catch.” her mentor meow, before picking up a bird that she had caught earlier.
The two black 고양이 headed towards the camp with their prey.

As she stepped into the clearing, ShadowPaw saw a large group of warriors and apprentices gathered around WhiteStar.
After dropping her prey into the fresh-kill pile, ShadowPaw curiously followed NightHawk over to the other cats.

His pelt was black as night and his eyes were as blue as the sky on a cloudless day.
He wore a black tunic, which came down a little past his knees.
From the way he walked to the sly glint in his eyes, it was clear that he was crafty, daring and fierce.
He was young, yes, but he was the most advanced in his classes.
