Hmmm...I think they both have appeal. but i guess raoul. I like erik but i don't think a healthy relationship can be build on the whole kidnapped, forced to marry bit.
In Christine's situation, I would pick Raoul as she did for some very simple reasons.. The Phantom kidnapped her and was forcing her to marry him and that is not healthy, She loves Raoul she has for a long time and he loves her too.. Although the Phantom may 사랑 her a lot, that doesn't compare to Raoul and Christine's relationship.. Raoul is 메리다와 마법의 숲 and noble and the Phantom is a murderer... To put it bluntly...
And the 질문 is what is the difference between feeling sorry for the Phantom and loving him?
However, with what I know and all that and minus the kidnapping and the manipulating I'd pick Erik.. But I'm not sure I'd be too happy about being kidnapped and lied to.. Trust is important in a relationship...
Oh, definitely Raoul. I wasn't sure from the musical, but in the book 당신 can tell Raoul loves Christine 더 많이 than Erik. It's even a little hard to feel sympathy for Erik near the end of the book. I am, however, very sympathetic for him in the musical.
I choose Erik, how weird it may seem. I know deep inside his painful past and uglyness, there is a little piece of 사랑 that needs to grow bigger and bigger. :-)
I'd chose Erik, but only certain versions of him. There's something creepy about their ways. But the ones the ones I would chose I feel like he's very passionate. Roaul is just a plain dude with a bunch a money but Erik is exciting and loves 음악 like me.
Me? Neither. But Christine could not choose Erik, a murderer, blackmailer and wanna-be rapist (forced bride=raped bride), just because he is sometimes portrayed as "deformed but hot".
Well, he is fascinating character - mysterious, talented, ill-treated and tragic, with real 시 in him (in many varsions) but he WAS also murderer, blackmailer, kidnapper and almost-rapist. He is dark, fascinating, tragic and multifaced.

Definitely Erik, I mean come on he may be a little psychopathic but he does anything and everything to prove his love, even if it means having to stay hidden from the world.
Raoul. I agree with nglenn9-- a relationship with Erik would not be healthy. Though Erik loves Christine (and is definitely my 가장 좋아하는 character of the two), I think he would be a bit too likely to harm her.
Erik duh! XD I really don't like the Leroux version of Raoul at all. He was too aggressive and way too moody. Yes, Erik was crazy moody, but not in the same strange, abrasive way. Erik just had so many feelings and so much 사랑 in him it just made me swoon. Yes, he 로스트 it a few times but never once did I think he would actually harm the woman he loved. So I'd be all over Erik. (Sorry if this is really jumbled, tv going, 개 are being nuts, and my room mate is dancing to motown)
Erik, definitely. And I think Christine would have chosen him, herself, had she been older. 당신 know, had she been a little older... wiser... smarter... she would have definitely chosen the bad-boy in the shadows!
Based on the musical I am Phantom all the way. I have not read the book so can't say for that. The Phantom is just awesome. I think if he hadn't been treat the way he had he probably wouldn't be a murderer. And apart from that he isn't that bad a guy. Yes he did try to force Christine to marry him but it's because he loved her and he probably has a bad way of showing his feelings and let's face it. In the end he let them leave anyway. Also, in 사랑 Never Dies (by the way I like the sequel to POTO. Prefer POTO but I still like it) Raoul is horrible to Christine and he tries to be nice to her again when he finds out the Phantom is trying to get her back

The fact that 당신 haven't read the book speaks volumes.... The continuity in LND was nonexistant and the the lead characters were so selfish and unlikable that I didn't care what happened to them. This is not even taking into account how the characters were completely distroyed not only from the 이전 musical but the original book!
Well, if I were in Christine's place, then Raoul. He's the 안전한, 안전 choice. I don't mind the Leroux version of him, though I admit he can seem a bit aggressive at times, and I have virtually no opinion on him in the musical. Oh, and though Erik IS awesome, and I do prefer him to Raoul, Raoul isn't a murderer/kidnapper. (If we are taking into account LND, Id go with Erik of course, because it shows that Raoul and Christine's 사랑 turned bitter. And Erik would always 사랑 Christine.)

Well, even in LND, I wanted Christine to go back to Raoul. I mean, it was obvious in LND that she wanted Raoul back, and that Raoul was ready to start everything again. And in the end, Raoul did something very noble: he sacrificed his own happiness for Christine, leaving her with the Phantom, while he could have very well presented himself at Court, show his wedding certificate and force Christine to come back with him, bet 또는 no bet. But Raoul certainly didn't know that it would provoke Christine's death...
