I thought I would take a few moments and jot down some thoughts I have about 슈퍼맨 and Christopher Reeve as I begin building this spot that actually means a great deal to me. It has gotten me to thinking about my childhood and growing up watching all of the 슈퍼맨 films.

Nowadays, superhero films are a common thing. We get about ten superhero blockbusters a year. However, that wasn't always the case. There was a time where superhero films weren't very 인기 또는 successful. Sure, there were plenty of superhero-themed movie serials in the 1940's, but those types of 영화 eventually went out of style.

In the 1950's and 60's, there were barely any superhero films. 1966 brought us Batman: The Movie, which was a wonderful film, but aside from that, there wasn't much going on in the world of superheroes.

I saw 슈퍼맨 the Movie in a theater in 1978. It was a moment in movie history before 엠티비 또는 the internet when filmmakers were creating 영화 to be experienced in a movie theater. These 영화 used special effects the way Stanley Kubrick did in 2001: A 우주 Odyssey. The visuals were like a paint brush creating broad strokes across the screen meant to mesmerize viewers.
