But if this would be a straight couple, Shadow would definetly be a female.

It all depends on the version of 소나도우 당신 create. My 가장 좋아하는 kind is Shadow=>Uke, Sonic=>Seme.... so in my opinion Shadow is. But your opinion depends of the fanfiction itself.
