I think if Lily had had any romantic feelings for Severus ever, she would have made them known, in some way.

Not exactly,I think there were other factors involved too.So I've heard,apparently JK Rowling said herself that if Snape wasn't so fascinated and obsessed with studying the dark arts,then Lily's feelings towards him would have been romantic.

People, especially young people, tend to forget that 당신 can 사랑 someone very much without those feelings being romantic in any way. Lily loved Severus but her feelings were strictly platonic. I've often wondered what would have happened if Lily had let Severus finish before storming off...when she demands of him "why should I be any different?" 당신 have to know what his reply was going to be...it was right there on his lips..."because I 사랑 you," but of course, he never got to say those words. Ever.
