I completely agree - he died like a Gryffindor. He made the conscious sacrifice NOT to defend himself against Nagini, so that Voldemort would not harm Draco (remember the 2nd clause of the Unbreakable Vow), plus it would send him onto a false trail and give 더 많이 time to Harry. Severus was supremely intelligent (the Dark Lord reckoned that !) : he made a 스플릿, 분할 초 decision in choosing not protect himself against Nagini, while he still had his wand in hand. Like Dumbledore said... Poor Severus... *weeping*
I know...Some critics reckon that...in a way this is as much Harrys Journey as it is Snapes. I agree. We never knew the whole truth about Snape either.
To complete the caption on the image, I like to think that he was a Slytherin that worked like a Ravenclaw [wtih intelligence], loved like a Hufflepuff [with utmost loyalty to Lily and Dumbledore] and died like a Gryffindor [facing death with absolute courage].
In my head, I keep seeing after all those years of seeing the Dark Mark, Severus comes up with a shield against, a Golden 코트 of Arms that he can cast over Hogwarts to protect it. And then one person from each house would 가입하기 in casting visions of the 동물 from each of the houses tearing apart the Dark Mark before returning to curl upon the four corners of the shield. It seems like the ultimate picture of what Severus Snape became, the shield to all, upon which all the houses based their freedom.
I'd use a time-turner to go back in time and beat up that toerag James Potter! And only stop when he agrees to sincerely apologise to Severus for every horrible thing he did,and agree never to bully Sev again.
I would go back in time were Snape was about to die and this is what would happen (sorry if this may seem really lame to some of you):
Me: *hiding in the shadows* Voldemort: 당신 killed Dumbledore, Severus...While 당신 live the elder wand cannot truly be mine... Me: *gasp* !!!!!!!!!!!! No.... I 사랑 Alan's expression there. He's a genius really. He tells us he KNOWS then, just 의해 the expression on his face. 사랑 that pic, even if it means his end is nigh.
I remember 읽기 that JKR took Alan Rickman aside before the 영화 started and told him how his character arc was written and that's why he took the role. That may be why his character had such a depth. I don't know. But from the beginning, from 읽기 the 책 and watching the movies, 당신 knew there was a much deeper story there. And Alan Rickman just expresses it so very well.

There was that show with Michael Landon, where he played such an angel. I can imagine being someone like that, to protect and defend him.
There was also that show, Quantum Leap. I imagine Sam Beckett involved with Severus, and righting the wrongs done to him, 또는 those he may have done which have led him to disastrous choices. I'm brewing a possible crossover along these lines.

i would get a time turner from dumbledore(may he rest in peace)and go back to when snape was a kid and find a way to stop james from bullying him just because he exists and convince lily that snape didnt mean it when he called her a mudblood.
I would want him to gain the recognition he deserved. For his deeds, for his House, for his life.
I would never do him the disrespect of trying to alter his choices/decisions. But if I could not go back and give him some comfort, then I at least want that character to gain respect and honor that I feel he deserves.
After all that sacrifice, all that pain, all that life.....I do not want it to even casually be brushed away 또는 disregarded.
