Dmitri Mendeleev was a Russian chemist and inventor who was born on 8th February 1834 and passed away on 2nd February 1907

He was the youngest of nine (9) children and was the man responsible for publishing the very first version of the periodic 표, 테이블 of elements. He did this 의해 organising them from lightest to heaviest, therefore he was able to predict future elements which were not yet discovered.

It is known that the crater Mendeleev which is located on the moon, as well as the element mendelevium (radioactive - element #101), are both named after him.
