He was the youngest of nine (9) children and was the man responsible for publishing the very first version of the periodic 표, 테이블 of elements. He did this 의해 organising them from lightest to heaviest, therefore he was able to predict future elements which were not yet discovered.
It is known that the crater Mendeleev which is located on the moon, as well as the element mendelevium (radioactive - element #101), are both named after him.
