First of all, as others have already pointed out, evolution may not be a "reasonable explanation" for you, but it is for other people who have different belief systems. Just like the bible 또는 a 무지개, 레인 보우 aren't "reasonable explanations" of the existence of deities for me. If 당신 want to learn about other people's beliefs, 당신 can't dismiss them before 당신 have even given them a chance to respond. That is why 당신 have a lot of people giving 당신 crap on this question. The 질문 is not offensive, but the way 당신 have asked it is.

If 당신 look through any of those 링그 you'll see that Atheists believe in a wide range of things for a wide range of reasons. We, for the most part, don't mind explaining our beliefs to people who want to learn about them, but we do require respectful debate.

I DO believe in evolution, so don't give me "that's not proof" bullshit. We have many things in common with apes. Our fingers, our ape-like faces... I think that's 더 많이 reasonable than a book called the Bible.

If he created us in His image; how horrible of a God is He truly?

I dont believe in him becouse i dont want to.

No God didn't create me I am positive that my parents created me when they had sex.And I don't believe because there is no hard proof that god exists, I am not excluding the possibility that god does exist but I choose not to believe. It's simply hard for some people to believe to something based solemnly on faith. I don't like being labeled an atheist and I don't procclaim myself one but i just don't believe, the whole thing sounds 더 많이 like a myth, a fairy tale. Besides people created religion and gods to explain natural phenomena like lightning and stuff.Ancient greeks believed that the gods lived on mount olympous, would they believe it if they had climbed to the top? When 기독교 was founded people thought god lives on heaven, placing heaven on the sky, they hadn't been to 우주 though and called scientists heretics, what if they had seen that above the clouds were stars and galaxies, not heavens? Religions were first created to explain the world and as our field of knowledge expanded they became myths. Later, and until the present day,to a certain degree at least, they are means of controlling the masses. What will happen when and if someday all the theories of 기독교 and most present 일 religions are proven untrue like the olympians? People will probably create a new god to believe in.

Most atheists are athiests because either
1. they don't care.
2. They have a hard time just believing things and need proof, and proof of a god's existance is very hard to find, let alone the existance of the christian god.

I personally do believe in god because well...I found certain evedence, but I doubt it is 당신 that I need to worry about convincing.

Because I don't have to believe in him and it's a choice to be religious.

저기요 당신 guys, i think beliefs (even the atheist belief) is cool, and i like learning about them and figuring out about them, i like this 질문 and that this girl/guy was so 메리다와 마법의 숲 to ask it, i've been a Christian all my life, but now i see where some atheists r coming from because not all atheists r the same because they think God isn't real for alot of reasons, 또는 some think he could be real but the just don't like him, well, ive been hurt alot, and i actually don't think God was helping me and i figured maybe it was because he isn't there :P

The fact of the matter is that people want to do what they want as they please. Especially, because The Amendments and The Bill of Rights. (That is if 당신 live in the U.S) Anywho, God stopped doing corrections and fixing, he is letting this slide, therefore meaning to people that either God died 또는 does not exist. i believe in god but i have my doubts. i don't understand how if he has the power to create things, why does he always take the good things. he takes our family members away and our 프렌즈 just because some one sinned. thats stupid to make everyone pay for it... i could less what peope believe in...it's a right we have here in the USA.

Honestly,I don't see how God could've created us....I think we started out,just there. Like,seriously. I kinda believe in the evolution kinda thing. But really,I don't know.

i believe in God. i go to church every Sunday and know that in any situation, God is always there.
