Why is it a big deal to ask if someone is a virgin?

I don't know, it's not a big deal.

If 당신 feel like it's too personal, just don't share. There's no reason for 당신 to prevent other people from sharing.
Same applies to ALL questions.

Its so private because noone has 2 know what I do 또는 don't. It isn't about beibg ashamed of something. And sometimes, its just the way its asked and who is asking.
I think the only person that should know that, is the person that's gonna do something about it.

The way I see it. People are just embarrassed to admit they are a virgin. And in response to that they sometimes lash out at other people. They can clearly ignore the 질문 but some don't and want to put their "two cents" in to say the least. I don't think they are implying it's bad to be a virgin. There's quite a few people who don't mind being virgins.

I do disagree with insulting people who ask such a 질문 about virginity if they don't want to answer then they shouldn't.

But 당신 are correct if someone ask are 당신 a virgin they get insulted alot. I think it's somewhat equatable to the 질문 to some females "how old are you". I've never understood that. Quite a few girls get upset if 당신 even ask that and they start saying 당신 shouldn't ask that of a lady. I really think that's stupid. There's nothing wrong with that 질문 either yet people get offensive.

In short I believe the people who insulted the person asking that 질문 quite possibly might be insecure about themselves in that certain subject and they lash out. That could be the reason why they do that.
