퍼시 잭슨과 올림포스의 신 질문

Anyone else thinks it's idiotic that no one seems to know how to fight free-hand???

I'm not trying to say that anyone in the series is stupid(hello? i 사랑 this book!), but really? All weapons and no good 구식 hand-to-hand combat? It can get slightly weird especially since everyone gets disarmed a lot... I'm totally creating a character who can fight the Asian free-hand style for my 다음 fanfic. What to 당신 people think??

It just wouldn't be effective. The only thing that can kill monsters is celestial bronze. They wouldn't naturally know Asian free-hand style unless they took lessons in it. They only have an edge in sword and/or archery because they're naturally hardwire to know greek styles. Now, if they had super strength, then it might be 더 많이 useful. Since 95% of the monsters they fight have super-strength, using swords also helps level the playing field.

Dude for one Greek Gods and warriors never fought free hand. Two: 당신 wouldn't get even close to a person free hand. AND THREE: I don't like this idea of yours Thx Xscash232-Former Percy Jackson Fan

i kinda see where you're coming from, if demigods are supposed to be natural born fighters, then they should know all fighting styles, not just with weapons. and hey, if 당신 got a fanfic going then i have an idea for a character that i think is pretty cool, if you're interested.

I totally agree. Greek 또는 not 당신 should probably know how to fight free style. Me and a friend are making a 팬 fic. it's way 더 많이 modern and has just enough reallness to it that it sort of makes 당신 wonder if percy jackson is real.

I think it's because the enemy is a freaking monster. To 펀치 through solid flesh is like... well, not really as tough as punching concrete but still, 당신 get the point.

To somewhat reiterate what others have said:

#1 - Greeks/Romans never fought free-hand.
#2 - When we're talking para-normal powers, hand-to-hand seems to slow things down.

#3 - Most importantly, it's a book. All the Asian free-hand fight scenes sure look cool in movies. But imagine trying to read about a weaponless fight! It would be lame.

That said, hope 당신 can write an interesting blow-by-blow account of fight scenes of your character.

Peace.

but there is! in the 로스트 hero Jason attacks the king of giants barehanded. okay, after that he takes a sword out of the giants hair and strikes his ear but he was weaponless for an attack time.

No, the only way to kill a monster is with celestial bronze and if they use hand, monsters won't die. But fighting free-hand with a monster would be bold but useless.
