It\'s been a bloody busy week in the world of One Direction. We\'ve been blessed with a brand new album (you can read our track by track review here), they had some ultimate lad bants with actual Prince Harry at the Royal Variety show, and tonight 1D were the very special guests on the X Factor results show.

Doing a big ol\' favour for Uncle Si, Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall gave up their Sunday night sofa time to perform \'Perfect\', and basically it was the highlight of this whole weekend. Not exaggerating.

Letting the world know exactly why they\'re the most successful X Factor act of all time, the boys were back on their old stomping ground stage, with Harry working the pussy bow blouse, Liam doing a Malik one strand, Niall looking pretty in a flowery shirt, and Louis being flawless as per.

And yeah you guessed it, it was phenomenal. Shall we shut up so you can have a watch now?

But just as we were getting up to go and have a quick wee before the contestants results were announced, something strange and magical happened. Some pieces of paper started falling from the top of our television screen, and then the vocals came.

"Hang on… Is this… Is this \'History\'?" we asked ourselves. "Oh wahoo, it\'s a Made In The AM album, this is pretty marvy," we contemplated, expecting to hear a voiceover tell us to rush out and buy the new album immediately.

But it was better than that - so much better than that. One Direction had surprised the fandom with a secret advert to say thank you for all their support over the past five years, and suddenly the nation burst into simultaneous overwhelmed, emotional and heartfelt tears.

IT\'S JUST SO CUTE WE LOVE THEM SO MUCH IT HURTS. Honestly, this might be the sweetest thing they\'ve ever done.
