Mr. Spock 답변

Shantoo said:
I think that the romance works perfectly well. It must be remembered that the new 별, 스타 Trek takes place in a parallel universe - different things happen and different things are possible. Both Spock and Uhura are sexy, emotional (yes, Spock, too), logical (yes, Uhura, too) and highly intelligent so it is understandable that they would be attracted to each other; their weaknesses and strengths compliment each other well. This is all true of their characters in both universes, and in the original universe there's nothing to say that this relationship didn't happen, because if it did they are both so professional that it would later appear that it had never happened. But it would explain why Kirk never went for Uhura. And the fact that it happens in the 'new' universe, and we know about it, works for the same reasons that it makes sense that it may have happened in the original universe, while also bringing a new dimension to the interaction of the main characters.

Hated it and think it totally destroyed the wonderful character interaction between Kirk, Spock and McCoy they had in TOS. Additionally it takes so much of the cerebralness out of Trek that Spock provided. Won't see the sequel. Want to remember Spock as he was - a fantastic, well written, unique character.

Spock's interest for me was in his underlying issues, his repression, his living up to a standard that was tough and interesting. Loved his "differentness" from humans and his mysteriousness. All that went out the window when they made him into an emotional human in this movie.

YES!! Thats not supposed to happen! He's Vulcan and shouldn't be showing any emotion, and besides if there was any romantic tension between them it would have been in the original series, whichit wasn't so it is logical to assume that they were never together and never should be together. I think Leonard Nimoy said he was kind of taken back 의해 the whole thing too.

It totally redefines what Vulcans and Spock are supposed to be like. I found TOS Spock very compelling and interesting and sexy. Making him into a 사랑 sick 강아지 is a turn off for me.

I was definitely put off at first when Uhura started 키싱 Spock. I even kept waiting for the 펀치 line - that Spock was going to let her down easy like he did with Chapel.

But 의해 the 초 viewing (of six) I decided it was a good thing. Originally, he had that emotional repression vs. being half-human thing to overcome. But we've SEEN all that already! Now it's been dealt with upfront and we get to see him balance between the cultures. Yay - new issues, new stories! I think this was done for just this reason.

The problem is that we have 400 humans 연기 emotionally on the Enterprise, and ONE logical Vulcan. Now they are all 연기 like humans so Trek turn from Sci-Fi with beings who are really different than humans into a typical human drama and typical human romantic saga. Sci-Fi shows us things that are out-of-this-world. TOS Spock WAS a Sci-Fi character, not a soap opera character.

I See no reason to be "pissed" however I strongly disagree with the decission they choose. She is there to discourage slashers. Slashers do NOT get discouraged so easily. I mean if anything it has helped, now we see a side of Mr Spock, which I believe really shouldn't be there, that can have relations such as them. Besides, they are not together in TOS.

I'm not pissed but i'm not happy. He's also a teacher, so logically, he wouldn't even go near her, and she did come across as a bit bitchy at times. There also didn't feel like there wass much chemistry between the characters imo. He should dump her in the 다음 movie.

I think this 아이콘 is perfect in expressing my thoughts :).

I HATED !!
first of all, I hated new Uhura, all bitchy like really ruined the character
초 of all, I don't think Spock would find it so easy to admit he has feelings for someone
third, there was absolutely nothing between them in TOS and I can find no reason create this sudden romance, 별, 스타 Trek doesn't need a couple forth, they have no chemistry AT ALL
(and I'm not even going to mention Kirk and Spock because people will try to kill me)
