The Victory Tour was the biggest and final 음악회, 콘서트 tour of the United States and Canada 의해 The Jacksons. Beginning July 6, 1984, and ending on December 9 of that year, the tour included 55 concerts to an audience of approximately 2 million. It was named after the newly released Jacksons' album Victory although none of the album's songs appear on the tour's set list (Marlon confirmed it was because Michael refused to rehearse 또는 perform them). The tour reportedly grossed approximately $75 million and set a new record for the then-largest grossing tour. The 1984 Victory Tour showcased Michael's single decorated glove, black sequined 재킷, 자 켓 and moonwalk, which captivated audiences around the world early in 1983, just about a 년 prior.
Following a controversy with the way tickets were purchased, Michael Jackson donated his proceeds (approx. $5 million) from the tour to three charities, including the T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia and Cancer Research, The United Negro College Fund, and Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times.
The set list included songs from the Jacksons albums Destiny and Triumph. Despite the name of the tour, the Victory album was not represented. There were also songs on the list from Jermaine's and Michael's solo careers. Songs from Michael's albums Off the 벽 and Thriller were both represented. The set list did not include "Thriller" itself.
Michael sang all the lead vocals, except for a medley of Jermaine's solo hits.
Eddie 봉고차, 반 Halen made at least one special guest appearance, doing the "Beat It" 기타 solo.
Jermaine sometimes performed the song "Dynamite" during his solo medley in place of the usual "You Like Me Don't You."
Aside from a few months in mid-1975, the Victory Tour era marked the only time that all six Jackson brothers worked together at the same time as a band. Jackie Jackson missed most of the tour because of a leg injury. That injury was described at the time as a knee injury incurred during strenuous rehearsals. Margaret Maldonado (the mother of two of Jermaine Jackson's children) has alleged that Jackie in fact broke his leg in an automobile accident: his first wife Enid ran him over in a parking lot after catching him with another woman. (That other woman was a then-obscure dancer and singer named Paula Abdul, who kept her job as the Victory Tour's choreographer.) In any case, Jackie made a speedy recovery and was able to rejoin his brothers on stage for the last portion of the tour.
Shortly after the tour ended, Michael and Marlon left the group to start their own solo careers without The Jacksons.

My History Starts when i was 4 years old and my parents were whatching tv and then appears Thriller on Tv.
I was really scared but i really loved the song.
Then when i was 5 years old my aunt gave me a MJ cd with all his 음악 비디오 (i specially fell in 사랑 with the "Bad" 음악 video, i think he looks so sexy in it) I was obssesed with that cd, i even used to listen it every day.
Then i forgot Michael's 음악 for years.
But now i am a huge 팬 of his music, im in 사랑 with him.
I feel embarrassed to say to my 프렌즈 that i 사랑 MJ so its a secret. Well thats all
PS: sorry for my english but my original language its spanish

It all started when I was 7 years old. Somewhere in the 월 of June 또는 July, I got news that Michael Jackson had died. I didn't care much at that time. Life went on as usual for me. Them my dad upgraded his car and one 일 gave me a lift in it. I turned on the 음악 player. The first song? Thriller(the song). I fell in 사랑 with it...
Then only had I realized who Michael Jackson was. My dad still had 더 많이 songs. I listened to them all.
As soon as the player struck Little Susie, my dad would change the song. I did not know why. I downloaded Little Susie and listened. After the song was over, my eyes were waterfalls. The song was absolutely gloomy. I researched the story and finally ended up here on this site. Only 팬팝 gave me a reasonable explanation for Little Susie.
I created my own account on this site, just to praise him...
He shall live in my 심장 forever...
