Will someone please explain why they dont wear hogwarts robes after the frist two movies?

The costume designers probably want "variation" instead of "boring" robes all the time. Of course, they couldn't make them wear casual robes, could they? No, because "the audiences would think it weird and not want to watch the movies".

Maybe when they aren't at school that's what they wear. But in the 책 they aren't always wearing muggle clothing, its weird.

If 당신 asked the director etc, they'd go on and on about how 'the Harry Potter movie universe doesn't 확인 to ______, blah blah blah', but I think it's just because they're not in class - they do wear the robes then, right?

yeah, this has always annoyed me too. maybe the directors thought they looked better in muggle clothes (haha, yeah right). maybe parents had been complaining too much about their kids wanting to wear wizard robes all the time. 또는 maybe they just didn't want to spend so much of the budget on robes that would have to be made anew for every movie. whatever the reason, it sucks.

This annoys me too... But they wear their uniforms sometimes... Like here in this picture... It's from HBP.

Um when the visit the Hosgsmede Village and dont have class they are allowed to wear regular clothes. But in every movie they do wear their uniforms to Classes and the Great Hall Meetings. Sometimes they even are walking the grounds in uniform.

I think they just have to wear the robes in classes, not all the time. They can probably where whatever the hell they want outside of classes.

What someone in a movie wears shows what kind of person they are and helps define their character.Its hard to individualize them when all they wear are matching uniforms where the most 당신 can stand out is 의해 wearing odd earings and necklaces.They wore regular clothes at the climax of the first movie and the Weasleys dont wear robes in their 집 in the 초 movie.
For Draco,he does wear normal clothes,but when he does its nothing casual,which says alot about his character

I think part of it is to help show the character better, like individuality and that. Like in that picture, 당신 can tell that Harry and Hermione were raised as Muggles, and Ron wasn't 의해 the way they're dressed :) x

It's just another part of the 책 and 영화 not being the same. Do we want to see everyone in the same uniform for 6 영화 in a row? I imagine some of them do wear muggle clothes, they wear normal clothes for hogsmeade visits..but I might be weird when I imagine them wearing casual robes all the time like the adults do in the books.

maybe its because there classes had alreday finished and they ddint have to wear there robes/uniforms anymore b/c i dnt no about u but i hate being in my school uniform ne 더 많이 then i have to its probsies the same 4 them

Alfonso Caurón, the director of "Prisoner of Azkaban", told the costume designers that he wanted the kids to look and feel 더 많이 grown-up. This led the costume designers to allow the characters to wear 더 많이 "grown-up muggle" clothes, and it also resulted in a new 디자인 for the Hogwarts uniform.

The hogwarts dress code in the 책 is a plain black 옷, 가운 and a black pointed hat. They are then allowed to wear anything they like underneath their robes, although most people just wear a 셔츠 또는 similar. Generally the hat is only worn in the great hall.
In the films they change this to include house markings/ties/jumpers/etc.
Thus if this were the book they'd just be running around with their robes not on, rather than not wearing their uniform at all.

Actually in the 책 they do wear muggle clothes because it would be weird if they wore robes in public. Also, they are only required to wear uniforms in the 도서관, 라이브러리 while studying, in the great hall, and on their way to/during classes. During their free time they can wear their regular clothes.
