*This will just be based on the song itself. I know that the line distribution is pretty unfair, but I'll mainly talk about that some other time, since this isn't the first time where we've heard it before. I will address it in some parts of the article, though that will not be my main focus. Thanks for your understanding, and enjoy!*
Well, I haven't done any of these in a while, since nothing new from SNSD had been released yet other than OSTs, which I quickly lose interest in no matter how good I may think it is. So, why not write one now?
What can I say? There's no doubt that some, if not most fans, prefer their Japanese releases. Although I really dislike it when they do cheap knockoff remakes in Japanese, except for Genie, I especially 사랑 their ballads.
So, when I heard that Indestructible was going to be released as a new Japanese ballad, I was so excited for it, since their recent comeback had been a let down for me. But, since I usually do everything on my phone, the 비디오 that had the audio either never played for me since I wasn't on a desktop, 또는 had really bad audio.
And so, I wait a week 또는 so until I check today. Finally, some lyrics were put up with a video with quality audio, so I checked it out. 안전한, 안전 to say, it's good, but not great for my preference.
I had seen earlier 기사 about the unfair line distribution, with them basically saying that it's "Tiffany ft. OT6," since Tiffany got a huge majority of the lines and Hyoyeon and Yoona barely get enough to salvage. (Hence why I said OT6, since both of them only got 1-2 lines at most.)
But, that's not why I didn't praise it as the rest of the fandom did. The line distribution didn't faze me at all. It was the generic sound and formula for it. Let me explain...
It's no secret that everyone in SNSD, excluding Sooyoung, can't speak fluent Japanese, let alone understand it. So, what happens in their Japanese songs recently? They add a bunch of English to help mask that fact. While I'm not fully against it, I do think that it gets a little too repetitive.
To be fair, at least the majority of the song isn't English, compared to other songs like link and basically the whole 사랑 & Peace album, but there are 20+ English words and phrases combined in the entire song, so that's why it doesn't sound too great for me.
Also, I don't know why, but the song kinda sounded like Everyday 사랑 and Stay Girls together in one song. Did anyone else feel that way? Because, honestly, the 더 많이 I listen to Indestructible, I find myself accidentally saying a few of the lyrics from Stay Girls. xD
So, if I were to rate it on a scale of 1-5, I'd say 3.5~3.75. I'd still recommend that 당신 listen to it, though for me, I'd probably skip the song and go to a different ballad after listening to it twice.
Thanks for reading, remember to 팬 the 기사 and 코멘트 below on what 당신 thought of the song, and I'll see 당신 soon at the 다음 article! Bye!
