LeenaX said:
following is link to close up of the tattoe on her wrist. link
now, everyone, has been saying its means 'everyday' but since i saw the close up, have been wondering that the translation of everyday to Hindi(Devanagari script) 또는 Sanskrit is 'pratidin' 또는 'प्रतिदिन' /प्रतिदिनम् 또는 pratidinam (in Sanskrit), but the tattoe doesn't say pratidin; it says 'pratyahar' 또는 प्रत्याहार /’pratyaharah’ 또는 प्रत्याहारः ( the tattoe doesn't have ':' but it’s ok, it still means the same as the word with it; though, with ':' would have made it Sanskrit, without it, its Hindi, as Gillian has said, it’s still Devanagari script, it means the same as प्रत्याहार. link
Now, coming back to the meaning, it means in simple terms 'withdrawal' 또는 'withdrawal from external senses', 또는 ’re-absorption 또는 dissolution of the world'. although Gillian says “I still think it represents one of the eight limbs of yoga and is about right lines and right action.” which could be right (link click on link and look for word 'pratihars' -ref. ;'The four gates of mandala Prakara are guarded 의해 four pairs of pratihars 또는 dvarapalas. In Rupamandala iconographic text, eight pratiharas of Vishnu are described.'
-for your reference, ‘Lord Vishnu’ is one the three Main Gods in Hinduism; Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh; Trideva - formed from Mahamaya: The Mother, Scripture says that Brahma is the Creator, Vishnu- The Sustainer, and Mahesh- The Destroyer, representing this cycle).
Her quote represents either what the word was- that Gillian wanted as her tattoe (i.e.; the interpretation of the quote to what 'word' it would be in Sanskrit) 또는 its actually what she thinks she ended up with 또는 both.

lemme try and check with some acquaintances, if there’s anything else, will get back to ya.

초 link: go to link 검색 for 'Vishnu-Mandala' and click on the image, look for 'Pratihars' in the description.

noticed the first link doesn't open properly, just go to link then go to 'Gillian Anderson' and click 'wrist detail'. between i believe Gillian’s right on the interpretation
