. For those glorious 10 (soon to be seven) weeks per year we obsess over everything from silhouette teasers to prop errors, plot holes to allegiances, fan theories to awesome shooting locations. We even geek out over the spoofs.
The rest of the year we\'re left to debate what\'s going to happen in something that essentially lives in the head of George RR Martin.
Below is a list of problems (first world ones, admittedly) that you will only understand if you\'re a long-suffering Thronie.
Star Trek TV show 2017: Everything you need to know
Wiki site after every episode just to remind us who the hell that was.
Jory Cassel? Smalljon Umber? Salladhor Saan? Aemon, Aegon, Aerys?
2. Knowing loads of backstory that hasn\'t even been on the show like it\'s
Seriously: test us on the Blackfyre Rebellion. Or Azor Ahai. Or Bran the Builder. We could take a GCSE in this stuff. Hell, we could set one. Anyone want us to set one? We\'ll do it anyway.
3. Having to get up stupidly early on Monday morning to avoid spoilers at work.
friends with your ninth discussion about the Brotherhood Without Banners.
This stuff is important, okay? And Dondarrion\'s crew are kind of ill-defined in the show, so demanding of further attention.
5. Warging. Go on, try and explain warging to someone who doesn\'t watch it.
Watch their face fall as they quietly judge you.
6. Trying to explain to non-believers that YES it\'s about dragons and wizards and boobs and shit but NO it\'s not like that. Honest.
like that. We would totally watch it even without all that stuff.
8. For book readers: having to explain what everything means again and again to the TV viewers.
9. Secretly preferring to watch it on your own in a dark room so that nobody else can get in the way asking stupid questions.
Look, we\'ll happily do a second watch with you, but the first viewing has to be
10. Frantically rushing to the depths of fan theories on Reddit just because it\'s the closest thing to having a new episode to watch.
12. Getting annoyed at the end of each episode because Gendry still hasn\'t shown up.
That boat has to land somewhere, right? Just let us see him minding the shop at an out-of-the-way blacksmiths in Flea Bottom, or managing a Cinnabon in Omaha, we\'ll be happy.
13. Finding it perfectly normal and acceptable to cheer when a young boy is hanged (sorry, Olly).
14. Searching for spoilers but getting instantly furious when you see spoilers.
15. No longer allowing yourself to get attached to awesome new characters, because you know they will most likely die a horrible, horrible death.
16. Letting yourself get fooled by the dumbest fan theories out there till the show disproves them, making you feel like a total idiot for thinking The Mountain had Joffrey\'s head sewn on to his neck.
, okay? You never saw his face! His neck was ostentatiously covered by a scarf! His eyes were the same colour as dead Joffrey\'s! In the books, Ser Gregor\'s head got sent to Dorne after he was killed but before he was resurrected!
17. Completely forgetting things that happened several seasons ago, but still managing to cling on to the plot. Wait, Jon Snow met Tyrion? The Hound already had a fight with The Mountain?
If we were real fans we\'d be re-watching from Episode 1. (*Scourges self*.)
18. Getting stupidly excited if Bran appears, as that can only mean one thing: flashback time!
19. Getting stupidly excited if Bronn appears, as that can only mean one thing: Bronn!
20. Pretending you\'re The Hound every time you drink beer from a tankard, even though, let\'s be honest, you\'re kidding yourself.
You can\'t even eat one chicken, let alone every chicken in the room.
21. Coming to the horrible realisation that you have to wait a whole year for the next episode.
