I've been with 팬팝 for almost five months now and at first I thought it was a really happy place, I've made ten spots and all of them are doing well, I save, rate and always comment, however I've finally seen the nasty side of Fanpop, my first spot copped a lot of flack because it was classed as 'another 랜덤 spot' but it's going strong and gaining 팬 as is most 'other' duplicate spots I've seen, all of my spots have been a great form of creativity and experience for me, it sounds too good to be true, AND IT IS because there is some really nasty people on our happy 팬팝 place, people who leave mean comments, it's happened to me and I've seen some real sh***t slinging matches and verbal 또는 'web' abuse that goes beyond belief, I almost left 팬팝 when it first happened to me but I carried on doing what I was doing and stuck with it, but it's not a good example for our future Fanpoppers and the newbies who haven't been here long, people leaving nasty 코멘트 regarding images, abusing and swearing at each other in forums, bagging each others spots and ideas, and people whining about duplicate spots and image credit, as I've mentioned before, threats about reporting people, it's getting really ugly, is anyone up for some 'fun' on Fanpop? because I'm staying, I'm not quitting and I'm going to set an example 의해 standing my ground and continue to have fun on Fanpop, and that's true etiquette plus ! ! !

So this may seem a little "anal" of me, but I run into a lot of 비디오 게시됨 on spots that are broken, and for that, I 신고 them. Still, I wonder why it's so difficult for the original poster to go back through some of the things they previously 게시됨 every once in a while (every 3 months?) to check which 비디오 may now have a copyright claim, etc. I certainly don't mind cleaning up spots 의해 reporting broken content, but it is very time consuming...

As a tip, and to make this job easier for people who contribute a lot, broken 비디오 often have a gray video camera as the image instead of...

I have created quiet a few spots now and I 사랑 contributions of any kind, but I am surprised at how many people will pick on 'any' 팬 pick 질문 just for the sake of it even if they don't like the subject at hand.
Perfect examples of this behavior is what I have noticed not only on spots that I've created but many other spots as well, someone may put up a 질문 such as: 'Do 당신 Like The Movie Enchanted?' and someone will answer 'Never Seen It' 또는 another question, say - 'Which Bambi 사진 Is Your Favorite?' only for someone to come up with 'I Hate Bambi.'
It's not whether 당신 are a fan...

Just a little heads up.

It has been going on for awhile, but I've noticed it especially most recently. The bottom line of this entire 기사 lays in its title: pick's aren't made for advertising.

Repetitively, picks are being created that ask "I've just made a spot for ___, will 당신 가입하기 it?", 또는 something along those lines. Picks like these aren't really opinions and hold little gumption in terms of an interesting 투표 또는 contrasting views on a subject. Picks like these are being made to solicit new spots, which isn't what picks are for.

There is a fabulous link, a link, and a link dedicated...

I decided to write this 기사 because I have seen 질문 being asked about unsubscribing from spots and I have dropped a few spots myself.
The only two reasons I will drop a spot is if the spot has little 또는 no content 또는 the topic isn't exactly a 가장 좋아하는 of mine, even if I thought it would be.
I do admit that I feel like a real mean 암캐, 암 캐 when I decide to leave a spot and I'm not here to redeem myself 또는 make excuses, but to help other 팬 who are in a similar situation as I am and also hopefully for some feedback, 코멘트 and ideas.
Some of us 가입하기 spots because the person that created...

I hate chain letters in my e-mail box. I do not want to see them in my 팬팝 updates.

I remember a 년 또는 더 많이 ago, link got the mickey taken out of him 의해 DrDevience and others for posting unoriginal chain letters and Rush Limbaugh transcripts as soapboxes. He acted accordingly and removed those articles, and though I think we came down a little unfairly on him, I agreed that chain letters should not be 게시됨 as soapboxes, because they are not original work, which was the point of soapboxes in the first place.

You'll notice that, when 당신 post a new article, there is a drop-box asking what...

Hello, seekers of good 답변 to burning questions! It has come to my attention that an official guide to using the new 답변 feature is necessary in order to prevent abuse of this fabulous new fun feature.

I stumbled across fanfly's 질문 about the link for this feature and answered the 질문 with a list of five things I think are the most important to keep in mind. Urged 의해 germany123 to make it into a soapbox, I present to 당신 the Official Rules of the 팬팝 답변 Feature.

1) If 당신 know the answer to the question, don't ask. This should be fairly clear already, but 답변 are...

I am so sick of all the nastiness and sarcasm that goes on in Fanpop, through the forums, via 팬 pick 질문 and 코멘트 left regarding 이미지 etc.
And I'm sick of being so nice about it when there's only so much one person can take, I've almost left 팬팝 on a few occasions because of 'some' peoples attitudes here and I'm over it.
I have been on 팬팝 for almost a 년 now and I'm not nasty to people, I get on here and do my thing and contribute as much as I can, but if I cop anymore shit 또는 see people being nasty to other people here I will 신고 them and I'll name all of the 'nasties'...

I think that this 기사 belongs here in opposed to 'Fanpop Spots' because it is a 팬팝 Etiquette issue, as well as a spot 또는 club issue.
When 당신 가입하기 a spot it appears in your 업데이트 as one of your spots and so do the ones 당신 create, I've heard some people say that a spot that 당신 created 'isn't your spot' now I know that the spots belong to 팬팝 and I realize that 'most' of 당신 would be very proud of your creations just as I am of mine.
However if 당신 are the spot creator then 'in my opinion' the spot is yours to some degree, 당신 create the spot, only 당신 can change the banner, icon...

So I tried to think of a catchier title, but I figured I might as well just call it what it is. I have seen instances of (what I believe to be unintentional) heterosexism in several 팬팝 picks. As evidenced 의해 link, however, some believe it to be intentional.

Now I'm not trying to whine about wording 또는 being politically correct. In fact, I'm not politically correct in the slightest, as anyone who knows me well enough will tell you. And this issue isn't really a big deal, I just wanted to make people aware of it and ask their opinions on it. So do 당신 find these things odd?

The type of picks...
