She doesn't think. At all.

Despite seeing the results of the guidance, she couldn't think of an alternative. She didn't make that smart decisions when it came to Anna or her kingdom.

This is not even a question. She only have stupid decisions.

I explained it last round.

Again everyone else might not make the best decisions but they know how to use a fork!

I think Merida is one of the smartest DPs and doesn't get much credit for it because it is often overshadowed by her selfishness and immaturity. Merida was very resourceful and street smart to me. She seemed to have a high IQ as she was able to think on her feet and make quick decisions when necessary as well as able to recall information that she had only been paying half-attention to in regards to the legend yet was able to use that to her advantage. Additionally, I think the way she reacted to magic shows she has some intellectual curiosity, albeit not towards books and history so much but towards geography etc.
