Or, if you were me, you would say that Ariel was also the first princess that was bratty, selfish, irresponsible, didn't deserve her happy ending, and treated her friends and family with no respect or kindness. :) (And, in my opinion, Ariel still holds the title as the stupidest DP) Yeah, proactive or not, Ariel still possesses many of these traits that keep me on the Ariel haters side of this never-ending, "Ariel debate." Also, I don't understand when people say Ariel is independent. Ariel constantly needs other people getting her out of her own messes. (And yet, never says thanks.) Ariel tries being independent, but can't do one thing on her own without her completely screwing up and needing somebody else dragging her out of her own mess, IMO. *Gets killed* ....And that's how I died. XD

Ariel is too reckless and selfish to be truly considered a good feminist role model.
