디즈니 프린세스 Article: 디즈니 Princess Importance List

It's about time I got my 나귀, 엉덩이 into gear and write this article. I've been planning on 글쓰기 this for far to long. This 기사 is about who I think belongs in the line-up the most. Before 당신 get mad and start shouting that all the princesses belong in the line-up, I ask 당신 to do two things. First, remember that I KNOW THAT!!! NO NEED TO TELL ME!!! This is an opinion. Second, read the whole thing before commenting, I have my reasons why I put each princess where she is.
Now, with that all out of the way, let's start....

13. Merida
The fact I hate this girl has nothing to do with why she's here. (mostly) The first reason she's here is because she's Pixar. Yeah, yeah, I know 픽사 is 디즈니 and all that. But answer me these; What if 픽사 breaks off from Disney?? And don't say it can't//wouldn't happen, it can. It may took ten years, 또는 maybe even fifty, but it could happen. What happens to Merida then?? Does she still in the line-up?? 또는 is she kick out?? Also, what gives Merida the right to be in the line-up when she isn't in the 디즈니 Animated Canon when all the other princesses are??
Next, she doesn't sing 또는 have a prince....or at least a male counterpart. Shallow, I know, but hear me out first. All the other princess sing, it's part of what they're know for. We 사랑 hearing and 노래 their songs, we 사랑 hearing their voices. We don't get that with Merida. Also, with no prince, the Princess and Prince line-ups are uneven, and personally, I HATE THAT!! Yes, I'm the type to like everything to be even, and the line-ups are not that way anymore. *Sigh*
So, yeah, Merida is the first to go because she doesn't fit in the line-up in anyway. Moving on.

12. Elsa
Elsa has many reasons to be in the line-up; she sings, she's in the 디즈니 Animated Canon. BUT, there's two things holding her back. One, she doesn't have a male counterpart. I already said why I hate that in the Merida part, so just read that over. Two; she's the deuteragonist not the protagonist (hush 재스민 속, 재 스민 and Aurora, I'll get to 당신 soon enough). Minor reasons, probably. But it's enough for me to put her here.

11. Pocahontas
She's base on a real person. Nuff said. Also, a lot of people forget she's in the line-up...sometimes because she's not on a lot of merchandise.

10. Mulan
Pretty much the same reason as Pocahontas....minus the real person thing.

9. Tiana
So, I was debating whether to put her here 또는 farther up. I decided here for one major reason. Tiana isn't as dreamy as the other princesses in personality. She doesn't believe in wishing on stars whereas the other princess do. She believes that only hard work will get 당신 anywhere. Now, I'm not saying that's bad, just that the other princesses believe in both wishing on a 별, 스타 and hard work. Tiana's very....realistic.

8. Anna
*Shrug* She had to go somewhere....Well, I guess the major reason is she's 3D. Now, I 사랑 3D, but when the other princesses are 2D....well, I think 당신 can see the problem here, right.

7. Rapunzel
Pretty much, same reason as Anna, they are almost tied, but I refused to have ties and Rapunzel brings a little bit 더 많이 to the 표, 테이블 than Anna. So to speak.

6. Jasmine
Two reason. One, doesn't have her own theme song and isn't the protagonist. And yeah....that's pretty much it.

5. Aurora
Well, it's debatable on whether she's the protagonist 또는 not. And having only about eighteen 분 of screen time doesn't help her much.

4. Belle
Her and number three are pretty much tied, but again, I refuse to have ties. So why did I put her here instead of number three. Just two reasons; one, she shares her protagonist role with Beast//Adam. And two, she's not a princess in her movie. And...that's about it.

3. Ariel
Unlike the 다음 two, she's a mermaid, not an actually human. And that's the main reason she's here. Moving on...

2. Cinderella
Probably thought she would be first, right. But nope, she's at second. Even though Cindy isn't my favourite, I can see no other place for her but here. She was Walt's favourite and she's ironic, everyone knows her, whether they like her 또는 not isn't the point, they still know her. But there's still one that beats her. And that is....

1. Snow White
Tell who else should be here but the one who started it all. Now, Snow White is one of my least favourite princesses, but, just like with Cinderella, I can see no other place for her than here. Without her there would be no 디즈니 for us to love. Without her, all the other princesses that we know and 사랑 weren't be here today. She's belongs in the line-up the most!

So, there's my list. What does yours look like?? What do 당신 agree on?? Disagree on?? Post away!!

Oh, and just to let 당신 all know, my 다음 기사 will be on my favourite movies....once I've watch them all.....that may take awhile. :P

324anna Great article, but I personally don't believe that not having a love interest is a reason. And in my opinion, all the princesses belong equally in the line-up because they bring something different. If all the DPs were like Snow White, it would be so boring, so I disagree with the idea of the article. And yes I read your first paragraph and I know that you said that it's your opinion e.t.c., but I'm not trying to change it, I just express my view on the subject. I understand you put effort on the article so good job.

fanlovver I get what this article is supposed to say, but like 324anna I don't agree with the idea. I disagree with the reasons you stated for Merida. I think if there is a reason for her not to be in the lineup it is that she does not want to be a princess. She does sing, and I don't think she shouldn't be a princess because she has no male counterpart. She was born a princess, and thats more than some of the rest DPs. I wouldn't like it if the princesses acted all the same and had the same background because I like diversity, I like that they're all different. If not I wouldn't have found my favorite. Just my opinion.

Angelica_AW 324anna; Oh, I wouldn't want all the DP to be like Snow either. I'm just saying without her there would be no Disney or the other DPs we love. That's all. And uh....yeah, I worked [i]real[/i] hard if you mean by thinking about it for about a month then writing the whole thing in about 30 minutes.... :P fanlovver: Merida sings for like five seconds and you can barely hear it, and it when she's a toddler....so, I wouldn't really count that. Yeah, diversity is great and I wasn't saying they should all be the same, that would [i]be[/i] boring, just who I think belongs in the line-up the most, or have the most right to be a DP. coolsinger198 Good job but I disagree SO much. Not singing and being Pixar honestly makes Merida unique. I feel Cindy should be 1rst though. And trust me, I wouldnt even be a FAN of the DP club if they all acted like Snow. She is my least fav and she is SO annoying imo. I also feel Pocahontas is very important because they based her on a historical figure so we disagree there.

Sorry, I've been awake for over 12 hours, and I tend to go crazy when I go for a long period without sleep. :P coolsinger198: I.....didn't even notice that!! Diazdiaz95 Nice job, I completely understood what you meant and I agree that since she's the one that started it all Snow White is arguably the most important princess. I actually think that SWaTSD is the most important Disney film, maybe even the most important animated film, since it was the very first one. I didn't agree with all the placements but I did understand the idea and your points :)

Tygers_Eye ... I know it's your article and thus your opinion, but I'm actually greatly offended that you put Merida and Elsa at the bottom because "they don't have a male counterpart." What???!!! I'm sorry, when did the princess' worth as characters depend entirely on the men they do or don't have on their arm? I also find it off that the later princesses you fully admit to not liking, or not liking aspects about them, but they're memorable/iconic, so they're there. Yet, with the bottom two, their placement depends a lot on whether you like them or whether something about them drives you nuts? What??? Merida may not have a male love interest counterpart, but she does have her mom as a counterpart. The point of her story is not about finding romantic love or completion with a guy, it's about the dynamic between her and her mother. Merida: fiery, impulsive, reckless, tomboyish, uncouth. Elinor: calm, reserved, thoughtful, ladylike, graceful, elegant, etc. The two learn from each other and their dynamic balances them out through the movie. Besides, Elsa DOES have a male counterpart. It's Hans. He might not be her LOVE INTEREST, but he's a character foil for her. She acts cold and has literal ice powers, but she's secretly warm, loving, cares about people, and only acts cold because she thinks it's for their safety. He acts very warm, friendly, and personable, but is secretly very cold and selfish (Anna: "The only frozen heart here is yours!"), and only acts kind so he can use people to get what he wants, and will murder and discard them the second they're no longer useful to him. Elsa and Hans both also wear gloves for highly symbolic reasons. She involuntarily wears them to hide her emotions (and thus powers and true self), while he voluntarily wears them all the time, showing that he hides his true nature all the time. He's also one of the four main characters, along with Anna, Kristoff and Elsa. How much more of a "male counterpart" can he be?? I'm sorry, it's your opinion and it was good of you to share, but this... OMG, I can't get over it! I read this days ago and it's still bothering me. I had to say something.

shanyuisboss I understand what you were trying to do but I felt like this idea didn't work very well. They all deserve to be part of the lineup. Their is no "who deserves it more". That doesn't make any sense, or to me at least. Also, I agree with Tygers_eye. Also, I felt that you had kind of shallow reasons for putting certain DPs in certain spots. Because Poca's based on a real person she can't be a DP? What the heck? Or because she isn't in the merchandise too much? Those are no offense kind of low reasons. I was also very bothered by the Tiana reasons. Because her personality isn't like the others? So to be a DP you have to act a certain way? You can't be a realistic princess? I don't mean to criticize, but I just strongly disagree. I'm sorry if I sounded rude, please don't take this as me criticizing you because that isn't my intention.

BelleRose829 So basically to be completely deserving on the DP title you have to be dreamy, romantic, have a male love interest, 2d animated, made first, be human, be a fictional person and be "classic" I will agree that certain princesses can deserve a spot in the line-up more, but all you're saying is "they have to be perfect little Mary-sues" yeah...no offense, but they don't need males, they don't need to sing, and they don't need to be the "perfect" princess mold. I agree with the list not your points, if that even makes sense. It's not "importance" it's if people like a character. Anyway, nice article, I agree with your placements overall.

That's all I was saying. shanyuisboss: A lot of people don't want Poca on the lineup because she's based on a real person. Fact. She's not on a lot of merchandise because of this. Fact. Some people don't even realise she's in the lineup. Fact. That's what I meant. She's (sadly) not remember much, that's why she's so low. Also, I took to no offense. If I didn't want to be criticize I wouldn't post anything. BelleRose829: Maybe "importance" wasn't the right word.
