I took note that when Elena told Stefan her feelings for Damon had been magnified that it also indicated whatever feelings she had for Stefan HAD NOT been magnified. What do 당신 guys think?

i think elena's feelings for damon were always there but now as a vampire it is harder for her to ignore her feelings.

I think Elena was always admiting that she loves Stefan, she was even even convincing herself she loves him ("You SHOULD 사랑 the peron that makes 당신 happy you're alive, right?"), but she was constantly surpressing her feelings toward Damon. When she became vampire, her highthen emotions seem to rule over her mind - it doesn't matter so much what she SHOULD feel, she finally accepts what she actually FEELS. So she can't hide & ignore all these feelinings toward Damon anymore.

Other thing is that after Elena bacame a vampire Damon was there 의해 her, helping her out, fully accepting, supporting, having fun with her. Stefan at the same time was judging her, trying to make her what she definately wasn't suppost to be, just to fix his past mistakes. He made a deal with Klaus behind her back, put Jeremy's life at risk, 로스트 her trust. Even without this whole vampire-magnitication thing Elena's feelings for Damon definately would grow.

I so agree with all of 당신 - especially about the explosion of her until now suppressed feelings.

Oh, her feelings for Stefan WERE magnified, it's just not the feelings the 팬 expected she has for him. If 당신 look good at early S4, 당신 can see how hellbent Elena is on keeping Stefan happy, and making sure his feelings aren't hurt (the fight scene in 4x02, the conversation with Damon in the beginning of 4x05 and the break up scene are good examples for this).
There were no magnified romantic feelings magnified simply because there were no romantic feelings to begin with. Elena fell out of 사랑 with Stefan during season 3, even though she still continued to believe she was in 사랑 with him (hence "I never unfell for him"). There are subtle clues for it all over the season (her not taking back the 목걸이 in 3x15, the rationalizing of their relationship in her conversations with Matt, using past tense and words like "should"....).
It's all about the details and the subtext.
