I need some 조언 about the horror story I'm writing...

Me and my cousin are working on a horror story and I need to know if puzzles are good to include 또는 if they should be mentioned but maybe not...gone through...or...something. I wanna include them in some way cuz in horror games puzzles always seem to be a main factor...I am just unsure how to do so...
