Sammisaurus said:
I don't think they can. I remember in the 도서관, 라이브러리 episode, upon hearing that 불, 화재 benders cannot use 불, 화재 during a solar eclipse, Katara says something about how it makes sense and that would be a good time to strike because there was a lunar eclipse that put the water benders to a great disadvantage.

They can't. Just like Sammisaurus said, Katara mentioned the lunar eclipse affecting the ability to waterbend at the South Pole.

Well, it would make sense that they don't, but where the Sun is actually blocked 의해 the moon during a solar eclipse, during a lunar eclipse the Earth's shadow is just passing in front, not blocking out its pull.

KataraLee01 said:
The situation is just the same with the Firebender's weakness, the Solar Eclipse... So, Waterbenders are also not able to have their ability to waterbend during the Lunar eclipse because the Earth's shadow is blocking the waterbender's power and original source. Just like firebenders. So, that's it.
