Despite appearances a fair chunk of the episode is played for laughs, with mixed results
Gwen’s changed nature is exposed to Arthur surprisingly early on
“This time I have chosen a woman”
The scene of Emrys confronting the Dochraid (last seen in Series 4 episode Lancelot du Lac) is a highlight of the episode
“You must summon the ***** ******* herself!”
Merlin disguises himself twice and one of them is… questionable
“Without you, I fear I would have lost ** *** at the very least”
Gwen makes a rather unorthodox journey
The Dochraid will really learn the point that Emrys is making
“This ***** was ****** in a ******’s ****** and it will do my bidding”
Merlin and Aithusa share another short scene together
Arthur learns that sometimes sorcery has to be fought with sorcery
Morgana and Mordred have a little chat about where his allegiances lie

Don't mind me, just squeeing over the last bit.

That's all well and good, but I'm still over here being bitter about the no-kiss thing.

Ok, the last line made me feel a little better, but I'm still going to join Kim on the kiss issue. Sorry for being so grumpy!

My guess Guinevere says those words to Arthur, I love you with all my heart. I think she has only said it once or twice in all these years, so their treat to the Arwen fans, they should have included a kiss with that.

Ok. I know how it is to be grumpy so sorry for laughing at you, Kim. I happen to be in a mood today where I'm upbeat and I care little about whether they show a kiss or not as long as Gwen comes back. But I know how everybody is feeling on this. Don't mean to belittle what others are struggling with. This whole thing has been really something. I've basically enjoyed this Season but this kiss thing is weird!

I see why everyone is upset, I thought we would get a kiss this episode. But I'm sure we will still get amazing Arwrn scenes and a kiss soon and it will be magical! I have faith!

“This ***** was ****** in a ******’s ****** and it will do my bidding” Morgana about Gwen. The power of love is going to help break the spell, but some truth telling is in order too. Gwen may overhear Morgana saying this and realize she's not the friend she thought she was, a catalyst in breaking the spell.
