Thought it's been a while sense this question was asked, lets see how much peoples views have changed.

There are subs I do like and I'll watch, but I like dubs more. Easier for me to pay attention and understand what is going on.

I usually only watch the anime in subs if there isn't a Dub.

I like subs

I like both equally but since my eye sight is poor I generally have to watch anime in Dub.

It definitely varies from anime to anime for me. I love a good dub, and an amazing, or even satisfactory dub usually wins over watching subbed in my book. Problem is, there are a hell of a lot of awful dubs.

The original version will always be the best. Japanese voice actors are best. Besides, important information is lost in the dubbed version, like the -sama/-san/-chan/-kun/-dono particles which say much about characters' relationship.

yeah i normally watch dubs and don't believe the Japanese version is always better.

I generally prefer dubs because I like to understand what's being said without having to read and watch at the same time. However, I don't mind subbed if there is no dub, or if the dub is really bad. The only time i have a problem with subbed is when I watched the first season of something dubbed, but the second is only sub. That's the only time it bothers me. Usually it doesn't matter too much.

Bananaaddict: Never actually came across bad dubs, maybe it's because I watch them first before the sub. Though, Sailor Moon does have an ANNOYING dub.

It really depends on the anime. There are anime out there with an amazing Japanese dub but terrible English dub, and there are the anime with a good English dub but not so good Japanese dub. And then there are anime with a good dub both ways.
