Now I know, it's really talked about and some get tired of it, so if 당신 don't want to read it, go ahead. But I made this post because I wanted to let others know what's better: Dubs 또는 Subs?
And my answer is...it depends on who the viewer is.
Now, let's just use Fruits Basket as an example. It's extremely 인기 and both the 아니메 and 망가 have been positively reviewed 의해 many. Now I (and many other people) watched Fruits Basket DUBBED, and I absolutely loved it! It was my first ever anime, and with it in English, I understood everything and it wasn't so complicated.
Then some years later, I decided to watch it SUBBED, because I never ever watched it in its original Japanese. And I hated. It was annoying and Yuki sounded really weird (I know his voice actress was female btw).
For many, it'll depend on which 당신 watched first: the dub 또는 the sub. Because if 당신 watched an 아니메 in Japanese, you'll be 더 많이 used to it in Japanese than in English 또는 some other language. The same thing can go for dubs.
Many do also say that "If ya wanna be a true otaku 또는 아니메 fan, watch it subbed" and honestly, that's sort of....well in the nicest way I can say it, is a really bullshitty excuse. It's YOUR decision whether 또는 not 당신 want to watch an 아니메 in English 또는 Japanese.
Or...some may say THERE'S 더 많이 FEELINGS IN THE JAPANESE VOICES SO WATCH IT SUBBED. That could be true, but that's how 당신 hear it. Not how others may. I really like the dub of Attack on Titan (I watched it originally subbed and then it was announced to be dubbed so I watched that as well). It was weird at first, but I got used to it.
Basically, if 당신 like 아니메 in Japanese, good. Same thing if 당신 like it in English. At the end, it doesn't really matter.
