wow, this is a tougher 질문 than i initially thought. most action shows with female protagonists are seinen. there's also plenty of magical girl like shows that are shojo 또는 shonen, but i don't think 당신 want that. Inu Yasha and Escaflowne are battle 망가 with female protagonists who are not fighters, and i'm guessing you'd want the female lead to be a fighter.
i'll throw out another one 당신 probably aren't looking for, but Angelic Layer is a shonen with a female protagonist. but the fighting is 더 많이 of a competition with battle 인형 they control with their minds. it's good action though with lots of female fighting (even if they are dolls).
Try this 아니메 its called The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya episode 4 has fighting in it the 아니메 isen't all about fighting but some episodes have fighting in it so 당신 might like to watch it check out my video ok.

(looks up on wikipedia) i've only seen the first episode of this and had no idea there was fighting in it. is the tournament she enters a fighting tournament?
