But I/we didn't have a hard time tellin the gender, we just assumed he was a girl from the get go

I thought about Akemiya from Sasameki Koto but he's obviously a guy throughout most of the series and just crossdresses a few times. So I'll go with Sugimoto-sempai from Aoi Hana since a lot of times she looks like a guy until 당신 see the uniform 치마 and realize it's an all females school. And that's a pen not a cigarette 의해 the way. x3
