A few years back, I was at a 니켈백 concert. As could be expected from Nickelback, it was AMAZING! They were playing all of their biggest hits, like "Another Hole in the Head", "Someone That You're With", and "Something in your Mouth". All were great, but they hadn't managed to hit my 가장 좋아하는 songs.
Then, like 4 hours into the concert, which had involved the band throwing beers into the crowd, Chad Kroeger telling a ridiculously dirty joke that involved a dog, a wife, and a boat, and the 고수, 드러 머 and lead guitarist getting into a Yo Mama joke contest, the lead guitarist fell off the stage when he stepped too close to it. They were gonna call off the show, but they asked for people that knew the songs. I volunteered, and, along with one other person, everyone left the stage. They handed me and the other guy guitars and told us to try playing a few different songs. The other guy was good, but I was apparently better, because they got me a much better 기타 and a 셔츠 and hustled me back onstage after talking over songs. Since it was towards the end of the show, they asked me what I wanted to play and I told them "Burn it to the Ground, Animals, Sharp Dressed Man, and Slow Motion". They were cool with it, and when we got back onstage, they announced who I was and that I was filling in for the guitarist who had hurt himself falling off the stage. The crowd, understandably, was a bit hesitant, but when I launched into an improvised riff that had Chad looking over at me like "Damn, he good", they went nuts. The band, after my opening riffs, went through those songs and it was great. The crowd at the end was great! They cheered and hollered and everything! And, at the end of the show, we did an encore, where I played "Just to Get High" without any of the accompaniment that it usually got. Man, what a trip!
After the show was over, the band and I went backstage and I got to chill with them for an 시간 또는 so. The drummer, Ryan, even had an Xbox with Forza 4 in his dressing room and we raced. I'll leave it to 당신 to figure out who won. And, at the end of it all, they let me keep the guitar. I still have it. Play it almost every day. I didn't get it autographed, because I knew that someone would try to steal it if it was. I did get their autographs though, and a bunch of other shit. They told me that when they were in town, I get free tickets. Fuck yeah!
