A Cranky 크리스마스 (A 2 Days Remaining Special) Chapter Thirteen

Chapter Thirteen-

Venice, Italy,
19:00 CET December 19,

Artemis placed a kick into her sister's chest, tossing her across the room and dazing her. Artemis untied her mom and placed her in a wheelchair before picking up her sister who was recovering her senses.

Artemis fastness her sister to the board her mother has been on and walked over to the panel. After careful consideration, Artemis smashed the panel. The board immediately began to lower itself toward the pit.

"Get out of that." Artemis snarled before walking over to Wally and kicking him in the guts.

"Get up!" she said.

Wally groaned and rolled over, blinking his eyes. "Ugh, what happened?" he asked.

"We've got to go." Artemis said.

"Just a moment." Wally said, standing up. "I need a souvenir."

"Base will self detonate in thirty seconds." a computer voice rang out.

"No, we've got to go now." Artemis said, pushing her mother through the door, Wally following.

The two 히어로즈 ran into a few guards, but charged through. They had just reached the door when they heard the first explosion.

"Go! Go!" Artemis yelled, shoving her mother out the door.

The three ran onto the dock. Artemis shoved Wally over her mother and tried to 오리 behind cover.

But was too late.

The base erupted in an inferno of flames and debris. Wally and Artemis's mother were shoved off the dock into the water. Artemis was thrown into the window of a house dozen yards away.

"Artemis!" Wally yelled, tossing Artemis's unconscious mother on the docks and scanning the debris for any sign of life.

Nightwing was fighting. He saw Kaldur fighting with Artemis; He discreetly took out the blood packet from his belt. He finished off the guys he was fighting with and turned to Kaldur and Artemis. Kaldur pulled out his water sword and stabbed Artemis.

Revenge ran through the burning building. Debris fell around him. He narrowly dodged a burning support which fell right in front of him.

"Damn it!" Revenge yelled, turning off his infrared. He pulled out his tracker an activated it. Holly's signal instantly appeared on-screen. Revenge followed it to the main dining hall.

11:00pm exactly. Artemis walked down the sidewalks of Gotham. She managed to leave Flynn with Lucas while she went to spend the evening with her mother. The usual sounds of cars and people still erupted late into the night. Despite her awful childhood Artemis still loved the city.
She finally came across the familiar, brick apartment building. She walked up the concrete stairs of the dimly lit halls. Artemis came to the 7th floor, apartment G-6. She reached into her pocket pulling out the key and putting it in the lock, unlatching it. She pushed open the door.
