“Rene, wake up,” Rosie said, “wake up.”
    “Mm, do I have to?”
    “Yes, it’s 7am, and you’ve been sleeping in the infirmary for a week!” I was so tired; I didn’t want to leave Kent. Kent had been in a coma for 3 weeks, and I couldn’t leave him, not yet.
    “I brought 당신 a 주스 box,” Rosie said, “and its 과일 punch.” I took the 주스 box and put it on the side table. I went to the bathroom and changed out of my nyan cat pajamas. I put on a green long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and my black-gray combat boots. I also put on the 목걸이 Kent gave me for my birthday a couple years back. It was a gold chain with a diamond pendant. When I came back to Rosie, I grabbed my 주스 box, and went into the kitchen.
    “What do 당신 want to eat?” she said, “I can make waffles, 또는 pancakes, 또는 French toast,” I shook my head and got an apple.
    “I’m fine, thanks,” I bit into my apple. Rosie frowned.
    “You’re sure? You’ve been 연기 odd.”
    “I’m fine,” I said. I really needed to get back out into the real world. I hadn’t left the mountain for a week. I went down to the training room, like I had been for the past 2 week, to get ready to take down Joker; but I knew I couldn’t, it’s impossible. I practiced spells, karate; I even fought Rosie and Maxine for extra practice. I tried to get Nightwing to, but he kept saying he was too busy, that lire. Every time I saw him, he was just sitting, doing nothing. He must not want to, 또는 else he would. I tried to get Superboy to train with me, but he said he didn’t want to either. I found Nightwing in the training room; of course I had to ask, so I threw an ice ball at him.
    “Hey, watch it! Oh, hi Rene,” he said, “what do 당신 want?”
    “Will 당신 train with me? Please?”
    “Um, I’m kind of busy. Maybe another time.” And he ran out. I went and followed him into the kitchen. The lights were off, when I turned them on and…
    “Surprise!” everyone yelled.
    “Oh my god 당신 remembered!” I felt a tap on my shoulder.
    “Nightwing, 당신 cannot do that to me, it doesn’t scare me.”
    “Shoot,” he said. I turned around.
    “Happy Birthday,” he said. I went around and hugged everyone.
    “You guys are the best; I just wish Kent could be here.”
    “Actually,” Maxine said, “he organized it. Before the Joker incident, before he was in a coma.” I was so happy, I was going to cry. I ran around, 디즈니 음악 playing, dancing, eating delicious double 초콜릿 cake, my favorite. I even got a party hat that I named Steve.
    “Thanks so much 당신 guys, I really appreciate it.” I smiled and walked out. I went to go see Kent, even though I knew he was still going to be in a coma. Of course, I was right. I grabbed a chair and sat down 다음 to his bed. Rosie walked in with a 주스 box and a piece of cake. I took the 주스 box and cake and set it on the side table. I shoved the cake down my throat, and drank all my juice. I shoved my face into a blanket and got 초콜릿 frosting on it. I sat up and looked at the 초콜릿 frosting on the blanket. I swiped a dollop and smeared it on Kent’s face.
    “Nice Rene,” Rosie said, “He won’t be expecting that when he wakes up.” She started laughing, and I joined in with her. Rosie ran into the other room.
    “Rosie, what are you…” She ran in with a bucket of frosting and some spoons. She also got Maxine to come with her. Rosie handed me my 가장 좋아하는 spoon, biggest one. I took some frosting and threw it at Maxine.
    “Oh. My. God. Rene, run,” whispered Rosie. Maxine just laughed and grabbed a spoon. She flung some frosting at me. With my amazing 음식 catching with mouth skills, I caught most of it in my mouth. The rest fell on the floor and was on my face. Rosie threw some at me, but it got on my hat.
    “NO! STEVE! 당신 will pay.” I grabbed a handful of frosting and smeared on her face. I ran out of the infirmary and into the room with the party.
    “RUN! ROSIE KILLED STEVE WITH FROSTING! SHE’S A MURDERER!” Of course, everyone just started laughing. Rosie ran in and threw frosting at me. I wiped it off and tried to throw it back at her, but it hit Nightwing. I ran up and smeared it on his face like a beard and mustache. Maxine threw some frosting at Rosie, who threw it at Nightwing, who threw it at Maxine, who threw it at me; but I caught the frosting in my mouth. Maxine gave me an eye roll and threw 더 많이 frosting at me. I jumped up on the 표, 테이블 and grabbed a piece of cake and threw it at Maxine. 초콜릿 chips were intertwined with her hair and the frosting that had already been there. I jumped down from the table.
    “Truce, let the battle of the 초콜릿 frosting end now.” The four of us shook hands and agreed on the truce. I grabbed a 주스 box from the kitchen, 과일 펀치 of course; and sat down on the couch, sipping it slowly after piercing a hole through the flimsy plastic target. Maxine sat 다음 to me, ripping out 초콜릿 chips and cake crumbs; and Rosie on the other side, was wiping her face of the frosting and cake bits. I gripped my hand onto the frosting bucket with a spoon; and sat there, watching Sesame Street, eating my frosting with a little bit of the double 초콜릿 cake mixed in. I felt so disgusting.
    “Why does frosting taste so good?”
    “Well,” Rosie said, “because it’s your birthday frosting! Plus, there is still cake mixed in with it. Double 초콜릿 cake, the best cake ever!” I smiled and started laughing.
    “That is so true!” I continued to sit on the 침상, 소파 like a lump and eat frosting
    “Alright Rene, let’s go.” Maxine said.
    “Where?”
    “Anywhere but here,” she said as she rolled me off the couch, making me fall onto my frosting. I got up and brushed some of the cake out of my clothes. The three of us walked out the zeta and out into the streets of Gotham.
    “Alright, where to?” I asked. Maxine chuckled.
    “You’ll find out.”
