She glanced to her adoptive sister sitting lazily on the couch, petting the 가는 리본, 흰 족제비 on her lap. "I don't know, maybe they live around here 또는 something? A new neighbor?" Ryder didn't take her eyes off the leather-clad book she was reading. "You don't get it! They're going to drive us off our own land and kill us! Just like they did with mom and dad!" Both of their parents gave a smile and blew a kiss, running out and jumping into a tree. The two watched as their parents disappeared quickly into the thick branches and leaves of the forest they had grown up in. Maia smirked and nudged Ryder in the ribs, “Wimp.” She giggled. Ryder frowned, “I am not!” She crossed her arms. Maia smirked, “You wanna follow them?” Ryder shook her head, “You know the rule! You’re too young to hunt yet!
