I'm hoping for a sequel to happen, cause...I bet that everyone is curious to know on what happens next with Max and the Wild Things, and I also bet that everyone is curious to know what happens next after the first movie.

When Maurice Sendak tells people to go to hell and tells people a sequel is a stupid and boring idea, I think it's wrong for him to say that, cause...I think a sequel is a brilliant and a very good idea, so everyone will want to know on what happens next after the first movie, so Max could go see the Wild Things again for the second time, and maybe he could bring the Wild Things with him to his homeland, so his family could meet them for the first time, and that Carol could be like a father figure to him since right after Max's mom and dad got a divorce.

I don't think there is any need for a sequel. The book is a stand alone event, and the movie should be too. I think Maurice Sendak wants people to use there own imaginations rather than having Max's story spelt out for them. I like it that way too.
