A personal countdown of the most difficult games that I have ever played. This part will mention the first five games. Without any further ado, let's begin!



10. XIII - Playstation 2/Xbox/Gamecube/PC

XIII. Fun, hard, and sometimes frustrating. 당신 start the game on Brighton Beach, suffering from memory loss and woken up 의해 a nice Coast Guard lady. I won't tell 당신 the whole story, but I'll sum it up for you. 당신 will be chased down 의해 spies, police officers, soldiers, guerrillas, etc. The boss battles in this game are quite difficult, even on Arcade/easy mode. Your 'sixth sense' often has glitches, not showing right where enemies are, and it doesn't show how many enemies there are in the immediate area. When not behind any
cover, firing enemies will always hit you, no matter how much 당신 move. This means that the enemy AI is always 더 많이 accurate then you.

During some boss battles, if 당신 don't have the right weapon(an Assault 소총 is good enough most of the time), 당신 have an insanely hard time beating him. Even the multiplayer mode is fairly difficult. 당신 can't really pause the multiplayer game, so whenever 당신 pause the game, enemy AI remains active, giving them enough time to 검색 for a Bazooka.



09. 포켓몬스터 Yellow - Game Boy Color

Yes, I actually though that Pokémon Yellow is a really difficult game! It's not like with 포켓몬스터 Red and 포켓몬스터 Blue, where 당신 get to choose from a grass, water, 또는 불, 화재 type starter and actually determine on how difficult the game would be 의해 choosing them. With only being able to get a 피카츄 at the beginning of the game, beating Brock will be hard to say the least. It's a good thing that 당신 can always catch a Mankey to pummel Brock's rock type Pokémon. Training 포켓몬스터 takes really long, so that means that you'll probably spend a good 년 completing this game. Some Gym Leaders are quite hard to beat(I'm looking at you, Sabrina).
You'll also have a few run-ins with everyone's favourite rival, Blue/Gary. Most of the times, this guy is just annoying. Sometimes, he's even damn hard to defeat, and it's neccissary to beat him to advance the plot of the game.

Now that I'm talking about Pokémon Yellow, I'll say what I like most about it. 당신 can interact with Pikachu. It's a small, simple aspect, but it's nevertheless just loveable. Oh well. The last thing I'll say about this game is that catching legendary 포켓몬스터 like Moltres 또는 Mewtwo provides just the right amount of challenge; not too hard, not too easy.



08. 철권 5 - 플레이스테이션 2

Tekken 5 gets horrifically hard, while it is insanely easy at the beginning. Imagine eating a 자두, 매 화 with an ebb in it. When 당신 begin at it, it's soft and sweet. When 당신 get near the end, you'll meet it's rock-hard substance that just punishes you. The last boss, Jinpachi, is so hard that it's sometimes just no fun. Pulling off combos can work quirky as well. For instance, 당신 accidentally F- up a simple left-right combination(square, triangle) because 당신 need to press the buttons a little quicker. That is the main reason why many people just button-mash through every fight.
It's a good thing that there is some good, motivating 음악 during the final bossfight, as it's hard, and mostly frustrating to do. Few people dared to fight this guy on Hard mode, because of his difficulty.

To 상단, 맨 위로 it off, some characters have lousy combos, 또는 ones that are really hard to pull off. Jack-5 has a nice 1-hit KO 옮기기 though, but it's one of the hardest in the game. If 당신 want to just play through a story quick, I recommend playing as Xiaoyu, she has the most effective fighting style.



07. Silent Hill - Playstation/PC

While being amazingly scary, Silent Hill for the 플레이스테이션 and PC is also one of the 더 많이 difficult games that I have played until now. My 조언 during a run-in with a monster/alien, just continue towards your destination whenever possible and store your bullets for when 당신 need them. The enemies in this game are very tough, and don't just go down with one bullet. The puzzles are challanging enough to take less
experienced players(like me), 또는 puzzlers who are into psychological horror, an 시간 to figure out.

Let me say, I love the 음악 in this game. From the in-game sounds like water that drops down to the ground, echoïng through a long hallway, to the amazing musical score. It makes the game even 더 많이 creepy than it already is, which added to my playtime, because I just decided to just not play it anymore for a 월 또는 something. Maybe two.



06. Rayman - PC/Playstation/SEGA

Ah, Rayman. The classic big-nosed, scarf-wearing, limbless character which we all know and love. And the 제목 of one of the most frustrating games that I have ever played! Especially when I was a kid, I just could not figure out where to go to, what to do.

I. HATE. Piranha's. Man, is it satisfying to just throw your fist at them, breaking their teeth and
probably hurting them to sh*t with it. Dodging
incoming projectiles can be a pain, and when 당신 die, 당신 have to start again at the last checkpoint, which is usually far from the place where you've died, since there's only one in every level. It's a good thing that those checkpoints are genuinly funny. It's not just the piranha's that are annoying, it's about every enemy in the game. This is a good game, but... Boy, do I despise it's difficulty.
