I'm not sure if I would have gone with Abel Koontz; Lilly Kane's falsely confessed murderer, Jake Kane paid Koontz to confess to the murder!! He accepted the offer because he knew he was dying and intended to give the money to his daughter. However, his daughter, Amelia DeLongpré, was murdered by her boyfriend, who stole the money. Koontz's innocence was further solidified when Keith went to Las Vegas to talk to a prostitute that was with Koontz at the time of Lilly's murder. Koontz was later released from death row, but died from his cancer.
