Jacob and Micah fell asleep in the hammock last night, but they still haven't come in.

At this instant I hear the doorbell ring. I hesitate and finally walk to the door.

Will's shadow is on the other side.

I open the door and see his solemn face.

I hear the back door open and turn to see Jake walking in with sleeping Micah in his arms.

"Nessie, who is this?" he looks at me and Will stares in shock, but with almost anticipation.

"Your the guy from the picture!" His eyes pop as he points to the 사진 of Jake and I's wedding on the breakfast table.

"You were supposed to be dead!" He looks from me to Jake, to Micah.

At that he turned around and darted out of the house.

"He's a vampire." he pauses and looks at me. "I could smell him from the back yard."

"I think he was one of the ones who tried to kill us." Jake locks the door and walks over to the couch.

I run back over to Micah, and start to lift him up when his eyes suddenly snap open.

"Mommy," He stutters as I lift him off the couch. "where are we going?" He rubs his eyes and looks at me.

"We're going to see Grandma and Grandpa." I grab my 지갑 and walk to the car, while still holding Micah.

We get in the car and drive towards Forks, hoping that this time, Jake doesn't die.
