Chapter Twenty: "...And the clock struck 12..."

I never unpacked my bags, neithere did Edward, so we had free time. We decided to clean everything up. I hadn't checked on Jacob in a while, I better do that sometime tonight 또는 tomorrow. It's 11: 45 p.m., almost time to leave, and were ready. We were watching TV, already cleaned everything that we made messy, and we were sitting on the floor. I don't really know why we paid for this hotel room, we could have just waited a bit longer at the Cullen's house and figured out the house. 또는 better yet, took the dead bodies out and just cleaned everything up!
"Edward?" I asked and he lifted his head.
"Yea?"
"Why did we burn your house down?" I asked and he looked confused too.
"I don't know. I guess we could have just cleaned the bodies up and took the bodies out." He said and I laughed.
"I was thinking why we didn't do that either!" I smiled and he did too.
He pulled me into his arms, and then his cell phone rang. He answered it quickly.
"Hello? Yea were ready. Out front? Ok, be right there! Bye." He hung up, turned the TV off, threw the remote on the bed, and pulled me to my feet.
"Time to go," He said and I kissed him.
"Let's go," I picked up my bags, he picked up his, and we walked out the door, locking it behind us, and started off down the hall, taking the stairs and giving the key card back to the guy behind the counter, and left the hotel. We met the others 의해 the cars outside, it was now midnight and we were heading to our temporary 집 until we finished building our house back up!
"Finally!" Alice sighed and everyone got into there car. I got in front, and Renesmee got in back. She went back to bed, mumbling something she was way too tired to hear us get all lovey-dovey again. I subsided it, kissed Edward as he started the ignition, and pulled my lips away just as he pulled out of the parking spot.
"You guys are gonna' suck your faces off I hope 당신 know that!" Renesmee said and made a gagging face, which made Edward and I crack up in laughter.
"Go to bed!" I snapped sarcastically and she did.
We started off down the road, following the others tail lights, and heading towards our new home.

An 시간 Later...

Edward pulled the car into a 랜덤 drive-way, parking right behind Alice who was behind Emmett and Carlisle that were in the garage. They bought this house a long time ago, 또는 so Alice says, and they are just now using it as a back up house. It's a new side of Forks I've never seen! Nor Edward, he's just heard of it. The house looks similar, it's just a story smaller. We got out, and Renesmee ran inside, claiming the 침대 she first saw. Edward and I already had a room, so did Alice and Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie, even Carlisle and Esme. There were two guest rooms for reasons like this! Though they were downstairs. Rosalie made Renesmee take our room and we took the first guest room downstairs, across the hall from the other guest room that was now Jake's.
Jake was done with the hospital treatment, which was good news to me, he was now just needing a 일 또는 two 더 많이 of rest; then he'll be back on his feet and ready to walk again! Renesmee was really excited to hear that!
Edward and I unpacked and we were already for the rest of the night alone, but a light tap came to the door.
"Come in," Edward said, telling me it was Carlisle.
Carlisle entered and sat at the end of our bed.
"Jake is doing better," He said and I smiled. "He'll be able to walk tomorrow, though he does need one 더 많이 일 of rest!"
"I know," I said and Carlisle looked confused. "Edward told me," I laughed and he nodded.
"Ahh," He looked at Edward and Edward nodded.
"What?" I asked, knowing Carlisle thought something to Edward only.
"Nothing," Edward passed and I sighed in defeat.
I knew trying to get Edward to tell me was like trying to 옮기기 a boulder three times your size! So I gave up, and I give up 더 많이 easily now than I used to. Which is strange, and I need to start budging him again.
"I'm gonna' go see Jake okay?" I asked and he nodded, knowing this would come sooner 또는 later. He took off his shirt, hopping onto the 침대 and turning the TV on, I sighed and left the room, nervous about what Jake looked like now.
Does he have bruises?
We'll have to see. I told myself and opened Jake's guest room door.
"Jake?" I whispered, no reply.
Good! I thought. I don't want him to see me-yet! I left the door open, and pulled a chair up to his bed. I looked into his face, forgotten for a little while. It felt good to see his normal face again. At the thought of that, I laughed out loud, Jake wasn't normal! I keep forgetting that! His skin and everything was normal except for the Jake inside. Jake on the inside was a werewolf, and there wasn't anything close to normal about that! I stiffeled it as I heard him murmmer something. I coudn't tell if it was "I knew you'd be coming sooner 또는 later" 또는 "I knew that you'd bring me a 타코 sooner 또는 later." I went with the first one, hoping he was still asleep, but then he turned over and faced me, smiling weakly.
"Hey," I said and he spoke, 더 많이 like whispered, too tired to open his eyes.
"Long time, no see!" He said, making me laugh.
"Yeah, it's been a while," I agreed and I knew Edward was listening, even if I told him not too! He always was listening to us when it came to Jake and I. "So how are you?"
"Okay," He said. "Glad my 본즈 are all put back together and where there supposed to be," He laughed then, which turned into a cough.
"You don't sound okay," I interrupted.
"It's okay," He said finally. "It passed."
"You sound dry," I said and I knew he needed water.
"I'm thirst though!" He said and that's what I meant.
"I'll be right back," I got up and saw Edward was in the doorway, 셔츠 on.
"I'll get it," He said and was gone and back within five seconds.
"Thanks," I removed his shirt, knowing Jake wasn't looking, and hugged Edward tightly. "Go back to bed."
It's funny how saying that doesn't fit to us non-sleeping creatures. Funny how creatures we are, but we actually aren't creatures at all!
"Here 당신 go," I handed it to him and he couldn't move. Then I saw a straw appear in the cup and knew Edward ran in and out of here. "Thanks," I said again outloud, but Jake didn't hear. "Here 당신 go," I repeated and he sipped through the straw.
"Thanks," He said after gulping it all. "That was good!"
"Do 당신 want 음식 또는 anything?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Not yet, but if I do I'll call you," He answered and I nodded. I ran upstairs real quick, re-filled his glass of water and ran back to Jake's room.
"Just in case 당신 want more," I said and drug a 표, 테이블 along the side of his 침대 towards his head, placing the glass on it, that way he could reach it without reaching too far.
"Thanks," He said and I left him to get 더 많이 rest.
I closed the door and walked into my room, closing the door and locking it behind me. I climbed into 침대 with Edward and curled up against his body.
"I 사랑 you," I said and he looked at me.
"I 사랑 당신 too," He then kissed my hair and I rested my hand on his chest, slowly tracing patters on his skin like he did to me on Isle Esme.
I focused on the TV, but mostly with the patters on his bare chest and torso.
I wasn't much enjoying the TV, only cause there was nothing else on but news and junk, and old 영화 that were moving on the screen. A One 나무, 트리 Hill repeat was on, but sadly it was one I've seen too many times! It was a good episode, but it was always the repeat one! Edward wasn't paying much attention to the TV either, he was enjoying the patters I was placing on his skin, and I think he remembered of the good times, picking them from the web of bad ones, from Isle Esme.
Soon we'll be back there. I told myself and smiled to myself.
Edward'd hand was keeping me against him, resting his chin on the 상단, 맨 위로 of my head, staring at the TV, but enjoying the touch and feel of me and the patterns. For some odd reason he was under the covers. I was too, but only cause he was. I then noticed he wasn't wearing much of anything, just boxers and I looked up at him.
"What?" He said and I smiled.
"Nothing," I went back to the patterns while the night flew by.
